Today I have been a lot more hateful towards the team and posted some pretty bad stuffs, which I shouldn't have done.
I pretty much have forgotten that, the current SF1000 is winter-test spec. The Mercedes, Red Bull, Mclaren, Tracing point, all are effectively brand new cars. Maybe I should wait a little bit more to judge the SF1000s true performance. Let's see what Ferrari will bring in Hungary, according to Binotto, it will be pretty much a brand new car.
Edit: Meant "hateful" not "bashful", damn AI and auto correct

You were much more optimistic after Friday as was I, much more than other on here.
And look, not having all the aero components ready in time, with all the supply chain issues they probably had, I can understand that.
But to not have ANYTHING, that I cannot stand. If you knew that engines would be frozen, you had to do everything possible to bring out a BSpec. Atleast bring the strong suspension components they talked about. SOMETHING.
But all that said, there does look to be SOME, very little, hope for the Hungary package.
100% spot on. By staying in Italy Ferrari limit themselves to a pool of candidates from only inside Italy. None of the top engineers seem to want to move there. They are shooting themselves in the foot and it shows.
How in the world is it nationalistic? I was born in Ukraine, live in the US and have never been to Italy. The closest I’ve come is my wife’s grandfather being from Italy.
Stop being silly. Ferrari can have their F1 factory in England just fine. Look at Merc? Their F1 team is in England, they don’t make all their road cars there. Ferrari can remain and Italian team, headquartered in Maranello, Road car manufacturing in Maranello but the F1 factory in England where they have a vastly larger pool of engineering talent.
Most fans should feel the way you feel, Ferrari with all the money they get from F1, should never be in this situation. F1 should review how much money ferrari get maybe they will be more serious. these days they think they can come perform below per and get millions in extra money. this should stop
Williams have a Merc engine, and yet are so slow.
Been here before, very much like 2012 when we knew car would be bad. Having the engine trick taken they have put a ton of dirty down force on. I will just re calibrate expectation for something to cheer. To be best of the rest after RB and Merc over these 2 races. No point moaning they are behind those 2 teams as until Hungary there is no chance. Hopefully can beat McLaren the midfield tomorrow and get a 5 and 6, maybe better with some bad fortune for the top 2 teams. No point criticising until we get to Hungary, if the gap has not closed by then or position the same then just remember back to 1991-1995 and 2009, 2014 which were all years Ferrari were 3rd best at best. Survived those years.
Gains/losses for Austria qualifying vs 2019 times:
Racing Point -0.921
Williams -0.737
Renault -0.493
McLaren -0.473
AlphaTauri -0.360
Mercedes -0.323s
Red Bull +0.038
Haas +0.619
Ferrari +0.920
Alfa Romeo +1.119 #F1
Hero's come and go, but legends never die!
Just saw quali results. yikes!! it does look bleak doesnt it? I thought all along we were sandbagging. Actually hoped we were.
In anycase, Lec might still make it in the top 5. If vettel goes for a bold strategy he might also manage 4-7 somewhere.
So damage limitation till hungary. Then lets pray the new car is good.
Silently, like a shadow
any word from Binotto yet?
me too.....i watched teh quali 6 hour later....that shows how interested i am in Ferrari this year.....as soon as i saw how bad we were in winter testing....i had a glimmer of hope that Ferrari would actually try and fix some of its defficit by race ONE...but i guess i was wrong.....there is somethig WRONG in that team the way it's been managed ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP.....
and Matia is NOT the right man in charge as TP....he's an engineer....end of story
So the SF-24 has been a decent car. Lets hope that the totally redesigned from the ground up SF-25 contender will be a beast that will give us tifosi something to smile about.
It's not how start but how you finish.
Toto Wolff: "I would like to cheer up everyone at Ferrari, because they are a fantastic company with fantastic people. But I have no reason to cheer up Mattia."
Attempts by Ferrari to explain that they had to catch up in terms of aerodynamics and were therefore not competitive did not go down particularly well with Wolff.
Toto:"It wasn't Ferrari that played it down, but Mattia. I can't listen to this anymore."
Motorsport-Magazin.com also reported that Helmut Marko didn't want to comment about the performance of Ferrari either...
Lewis was asked about Ferrari's surprising bad performance today and didn't want to answer it but then said it anyway
"I don't know what their main main problem is, I know it's engine."
Binotto: "At least Saturday in Spielberg has ended on a positive note for us as three of our Ferrari Driver Academy drivers made a clean sweep of the podium places in the first Formula 2 race of the season."
"There’s no point denying that this was a disappointing qualifying session. We knew the start of the season would be difficult for us and today’s result certainly confirmed that to be the case, even more so than we had expected."
"We have to analyse very carefully every aspect of our performance and compare it to the opposition, trying to understand why there is this gap."
"Now, we will prepare as well as possible for tomorrow’s race, which will be tough with plenty of unknown factors, more so than usual, it being the first of this strange season.
"We will carry out our tasks to the best of our ability, trying to get everything out of the package we have here. It's pointless to predict where we might finish and we must just try and score as many points as possible."
I don’t see him as TP in longer run. I think next year might be the last chance for him.
