This was pretty unusual I should have thought.
Makes you wonder what the new surface is like.

    Binotto is here.
It's not how start but how you finish.

I feel he's trying to replicate what Vettel did in SF's 1000th GP in 2020.

    Antonelli crashes out.

Felt like Mercedes have sent both drivers out pushing early on and the young lad paid the price. Poor from them.

Don't know about that except that Ferrari often split specs during practice.
    Charles now on soft tyres.

Ferrari finally using the wide viewing camera angle on their cars and the feel of speed looks incredible. Never knew Monza had so many banked corners.

As reported on the radio CL16 is suffering from declaration issue, which Ferrari will fix in the next session. Although his 2nd push lap on the softs was much better than his first attempt.

I drove there and it does not have this banked corners. The camera is affected by centripetal force.

from what i've seen in fp1 it wasn't that bad, but NOT sure how low they ran the car as bouncing usually happens when the car is in REALLY low setup

Is that not some form of DRS on the MCL front wing?

It seems we made a good step forward with the new floor and the diffuser.

Race sims for the top teams as they change to medium tyres.

I wouldn't read too much into the timings. Ferrari played around with the engine and torque mode during the long run, which had a big impact on the lap times.

But the car looks quite settled and well-balanced, the turn-in looks better than previous races. And Charles didn't ask for +6-8 front wing, which is always a good sign.

Well I don't follow other teams onboards so I don't know what they are doing with engine modes, but our looked good when we were using mode "race", looked slow when we were using "engine-4, torque-4".

OK. We will see tomorrow and Sunday what will happen.
And then we wait the next races to see if the new updates gave us something good.

Got to love it. This "wouldn't read too much and not worried" comments from this gentleman are legendary.

Both Ferrari's will qualify top 4 here. Good signs already
