Heading to our campsite today. Looks like Friday will be wet and a cold weekend. Just to add to our problems lol.

Williams and RedBull launch special Silverstone liveries.
It's not how start but how you finish.

I wonder how many "stop the oil" protesters will appear on the track?

    Have a great weekend there.

Hopefully Ferrari will have a good one too. Would be nice to beat McLaren at their home race... if some miracle decides to show up for us

Just wonder how many teams call Silverstone as their "home" race?

-Carlos Sainz confirms “Ferrari working on fixes already for Silverstone”

-Charles Leclerc (Ferrari): "In F1 there are few coincidences, since we introduced this package we have taken a step forward, following the numbers. But now we have to resolve these limitations, because we had difficulties for two weekends. . We still haven't found a solution to improve things."

    2 different opinions !!!!

I was referring that Sai said working on fixes already in Silverstone and Lec said " we still haven't found a solution "

i thought sainz wanted to try the OLD floor, the one pre barcelona, just to see if there is a corellation somewhere not giving them the gains expected and seen in wind tunnel/CFD

If they had found the solutions they would not need to work on them.
They say the exact same thing ;)

Comparing Charles's lap to both Max and Russell, we are very good in slow speed corners. But losing out a bit in turn 9 where both Max and Russell able to carry more speed than Charles. But surprisingly, through the high speed turns 11-12-13, we are quite similar and actually faster on the exit of turn 13.

The Red Bull has very good traction, The SF24 is very good in low speed corners and the Merc is quite slippery on the straights.

Charles on Barcelona spec & Sainz on Imola spec. Comparisons are underway.

Sainz lap on H was very good, I guess it’s due to engine mode.

Leclerc Race Run was even good.

So it’s about right balance & set up to be found. I feel the pace is there with every upgrade. But it’s all about optimising the performance out of it.

    Yup, higher engine mode.

I'm a bit surprised with our pace so far tbh, and I know it's very early. Charles not losing that much to Max in high speed corners is a pleasant surprise. During the long run, both Charles and Max carried the same speed through the maggots and becketts.

On the straight, it was also back and forth between those two. Charles faster on the strights before turn 9 and turn 14, Max faster on the straights before turn 6 and 13. But Charles was carrying a lot more speed than Max in slow speed corners.

RB on Fridays is a lazy car.

In FP2 #Ferrari will continue to work with different configurations: Leclerc is happy with the updated package, Sainz with the previous package.

The pace is somewhat still similar between the 2 specs

Sainz's Imola package seems to be more stable + easier to drive than Leclerc's one

According to canal+, ferrari are trying a more conservative setup for leclerc for the next run because the last one was too dangerous when combined with the new spec's bouncing
