It seams we are out of touch of McLaren, Red Bull, and CL is falling back to Mercedes

We have nothing on Rb, McL or Merc... nothing.

The upgrades are clearly not working as expected, still had a glimmer of hope for this race. Not an easy fix I guess

Every season same story... There is some glimmer of hope, and that things turn to same old same old... They just get lost...

Even the fact that our car was the gentlest on tires looks to be lost, we seem to wear them out faster than the others again

I do think they are lost again with these upgrades, we have gone from a car that was easy to setup to a car that is very hard to setup

It was a race of "lift and coast" and "lift off" for Charles. He had that voodoo brake issue creeping up again, and told on the radio to lift off pretty much the 80% of the race.

But nonetheless, the pace itself was disappointing. Slower than the Merc and couldn't even hope to match the top 3.

Great start to the race by both, especially Charles, but then... it looks like those upgrades that maybe worked for what they were supposed to do, but slowed the car in another areas, where it was good before. We 100% became slower compared to others by a lot. Red Bull and McLaren are in another league and Mercedes is clearly ahead of us by a bit as well. Quali, race, it doesn't matter. This is worse than 2023 at this point.

That was a bit of a non event for us. Let's hope we can secure some good grid places in quali for to-morrows race. It's easy to be downhearted but if we keep the faith surely we will get back to our winning ways sooooooooon.

This is no longer the car we had at the beginning of this season. The car we had at the beginning was a bit draggy but great around the corners. It's no longer the case with the current car.

Whatever "upgrades" Ferrari had brought in Barcelona, turned this car from easily 2nd best (occasionally 1st) to clear 4th best.

I don't understand why Charles always has brake trouble. Surely they can fit some new parts and that's it sorted..........or is there some other complication?

Both cars were having problems with overheating brakes. According to Charles they can do something about it, and he is also planning to "try something with the car" to improve this afternoon. He is not interested in being 6th or 7th again and said it had to go better.

They should just run a test a car with pre Barca upgrades to current one, just to see what the difference is…but they won’t cause of pride

Supposedly they did in Spain in FP1. Sainz run the new parts and Lec didn't. And they where pretty confident the new package was 100% and update.

It's almost ridiculous how bad things have turned for us. We are at a point where in every race a new problem emerges. Small operating window, can't turn on the tires, oversteer to understeer , brake issues, lift and coast, porpoising, YOU NAME IT!!!
It's like all of a sudden the team change their goals to " how to mess the car in every single way "!!

Mclaren are looking ominous. They have a car that seems to be working on most of the tracks, I think it's only Verstappen that is keeping them honest, maybe Mclaren is faster than RB. They will soon become the team to beat in near future

Does all the big money going to Leclerc's new deal and the MILLIONS going to sign Lewis have the rest of the Ferrari team feeling left behind $$ wise ? And are not doing what they can do.

Carlos Sainz: “We have a brake issue, but we don’t know why”

This " we don't know why" is our big issue.
How we went from mid season last year to pre Imola where we seemed to know what we are doing, the correlations where correctly and everything looked to be on track ,to end up to be completely lost .We don't know what we are doing ,the upgrades do different things from what they design it for , problems emerge that never saw them on the design face etc.
We are talking about the suspension.
I remember articles from pre season about how much effort the team have put on the suspensions.when the season started " experts " where giving gredidit to the team about how well they have design the suspension. And now all of a sudden the suspension is a limitation for us .. We had a good platform when we begin the season and out only limitation was the hot lap .we where told multiple times that we are waiting the Imola upgrade to solve this and move on (Lec was saying " we hope that this upgrade will put us on top ) And then they change the idea that that upgrade (Imola) didn't designed to solve that problem ,we worked on another one (Silverstone) that was brought forward to Spain to realize that this issue (qualy lap) might not be solved with un update and might be a structural/ general design issue.
So what to believe, hold on for the future????
Right now to it looks like they the team literally had no clue for the car how it behaves and how to correct it.and it is just for this years car ? Are this issues gonna pass to the next car ??I'm waiting for some answers from the team about this ,but this to be proved on track not just word's!

Roll on the 14th of July! At least Ferrari should be competitive in that race.

Max has the experience now, he knows how to handle pressure & play the game.

Sprint shows once again McLaren bottled it, where they were supposed to win. Easily fastest car on the grid & still not able to win.

Norris is backed up by many in the F1 media, doesn’t blame him even though he makes a mistake. If it is other driver they get different treatment.
