Also shout out to the #83. Robert and Yifei are the future. Really impressed with Robert's race craft at his very first Lemans race, holding off Buemi while keeping up with the lap times, impressive stuff.

Ferrari gets so much criticism, yet, here they are winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans back to back, after winning Monaco in the same year.

#83 was mighty impressive. So unlucky with the energy recovery failure, they could have actually win.

Again goes to show that what goes around comes around. #50 should've won last year as well, they were the fastest package, but due to some mistakes and mostly bad lucks, they couldn't.

This year they made mistakes, yes, but the #50 was always there. And after much trials and tribulation, they finally achieved their well deserved victory.

Agreed. Now, lets get the championship. Sure, everyone will talk about Lemans and it is the cherry on top, but winning the championship will fully complete the picture.

50 was ALWAYS there. Absolutely. Things have changed completely, in moments, so many times. The only car that was always there was 50. And other than the very cold/wet periods, it was fast as hell all the time.

Man I hope F1 will bring back testing on private track - the most effective tool in Maranello

From an operational standpoint no-one does it better than AF Corse in the sense that they know that circuit and the elements so well after all those years outside of the limelight with the GT cars. Essentially, it's like having the 12th man on the team. Contrast that with the utter shambles seen in F1 in recent years and it's hard to believe it's even the same company.

Anyway, the WEC is just for show, this is the Super Bowl of sports cars and Ferrari have clinched it twice in a row so that's all credit to everyone involved in making it happen. People don't remember who won the WEC, they remember who won Le Mans and that's what matters. It's not like the Audi/Toyota days of only one car being able to win now either. That's what makes consecutive wins even harder to accomplish so well done to everyone!

I used to support them during their clash with Porsche. They tasted pain and glory to the fullest. Congrats to them.

Is the weather in Peterborough a bit less depressing than in Le Mans today? My map suggest 0% cloud cover which would be rather opposite compared to what you'd expect between central France and middle England this time of year!

Looks like wet tyres wouldn't have been needed at either Silverstone or Donington today. My guess is that a lot of time you'd have better weather at the Arctic Circle Raceway in northern Norway in June than this year's Le Mans. For sure on the Baltic coast of Sweden it's a lot better racing weather right now. Takes a lot to make it to the flag for everyone who did.

    Oh it was raining earlier!

    Bright and sunny now though!

The jet stream has been acting weird so far this summer, it's flowing much lower than it should be at this time of year! mainly hanging over the Channel and Northern France when it's normally up by Shetland isles in summer!

What a day to be a Ferrari fan!!! Along with Monaco we have won the two most prestigious races on the calendar.
My hopes after to-day is that the F1 team go forward buoyed by this result and bring home the trophies from Spain. Fred was at Le Mans hopefully he brings back some good vibes. I didn't see Charles or Carlos there, thought they might be. Charles was there last year.

    Forza Jules
