As long as it bends and flexes but does not brake then it will be ok.Sounds like a rort but only if you are not involved. So designers start copying and pasting from Maclaren it's all above board according to the FIA so let's push this wing issue.

We should have some version of it at Austin now that what Mclaren does is out, and that will probably trigger an action by FIA. Either it'll be ok for everyone, or a total ban that will eliminate that flex rear wing for everyone.

    I don't mind any case.

I reckon that as soon as we get up to speed with a flexi rear wing FIA will deem it illegal.

Because the FIA and Domenicali like the battle on the track as it stands. Makes for great veiwership and sells tickets at the venues which means $$$$$$$.
It's not how start but how you finish.

so as soon as Ferrari bring them "jelly" wings and are at the front, THEN they will ban them

yes, yet another reason to be upset.

the late ban hurts Ferrari obviously. because we had to spend the budget and wind tunnel credits to develop them.

if they banned them way back in Miami, it hurts Mclaren because all their budget and cfd credtis would have been wasted

yeah, but having to spend the resources has already hurt us.

banning them back in Miami or whenver would have been so much better for us and the sport as a whole

I reckon they might not ban the flexi wings this season.....it's getting late but if the top teams all have some form of them they will definitely be banned next season.

With at least 5 drivers fighting for a win add a wing on their helmets !! The races are no longer boring.

It's about bending the rules to the extreme but not breaking them when ferrari master this then consistently they will challenge.Fred is aiming for this working model and is well on his way to achieving this approach.

Saw a video where you could see that McLaren is much more compliant running the kerbs, with much more front end to work with. As Serra starts to work, they have to find a way to challenge them much more. The rest will be done by our drivers.

i think we'll see a more competitive Ferrari come next year when front suspension will be replaced with a Pullrod.
they should have done this in 2023 when the sf175 was on the backfoot compared to Red bull.....but as we all know it, Cardile said that suspension is NOT the issues....

I think Norris might have dropped a clanger when asked why McLaren are so quick.
Praising the hard working engineers he said
"But that’s just credit to the team doing an amazing job and being smarter and doing cooler things and creating mini-DRS flaps and stuff."
I thought McLaren denied the reference to DRS flaps.
Or have I got it all wrong???
