We shouldn't be judging tyre wear characteristic based on testing. The SF23 looks dialed-in on track. It's not bouncing and the balance looks quite good.
Ferrari still running the low/medium DF RW. Which is pretty impressive tbh, considering the track has rear limited high DF characteristic and this year protecting the rear tyres is more important than ever before.
Ha ted bull says they have enough with 2 days of testing.
Fine then tomorrow they don't drive...
Hero's come and go, but legends never die!
Could be a good thing running with the less aggressive RW and trying to find the right setup so the tires work properly with less wing. Last year we always had to use high DF RW to save the tires during the race.

Things are not going well for Mercedes, the car is very unstable, they are experiencing a lot of slipping from the front and rear. It seems that it will not be resolved in the short term. There will be overtime tomorrow, tonight will be critical.
Of course it is too early to judge things. To early to lose hopes.
Verstappen and Red Bull looks unbeatable. If we are behind Mercedes it would be a huge disappointment. But nobody really knows at the moment.
Anyway ..lets wait and see what our performance will be tomorrow.
I think we’ll see larger RW tomorrow , Sainz said we’ll focus more on Bahrain GP setup tomorrow.
talks about testing a mare loaded rear wing with stiffer rear set up. I now that this is a rear limited track but is this just the right set up or a compromise because the medium rear wing didnt actually worked ??? And the wing we used today and yesterday is less loaded then RBRs or the same so now we again will forced to use more loaded rear wings ????!!!
what im saying is eventually we have a more efficient car or not ???!!!
FERRARI FOR EVER !!!!!!!
I find it amazing how no one really talks about HP being a big factor as opposed to all else. Years ago that was the main thing. Enzo really was into HP.
I’m not getting that vibe, at all, FWIW.
Maybe Hamilton was walking by….

I think the point is, if they can get the car and tires to work with a less loaded wing, then they won't need to use the high downforce wing to try to save tires and lose straight line speed, like last year. If they can get most of their downforce through the floor, where it's more efficient, balance the car so it's easy on the tires, and still maintain our mechanical grip, then we will be in good shape for the season.
Cranking on draggy downforce to load up the tires so they last in the race, is not the best solution.
I found the answer and yes we run less wing then RB so that explains the troubles in tire ware. So logically when we fit the proper wing for this track we might be on good shape and we could fight them equally!! Lets see. If this happens it wiuld be the first for many years for us. To start bad because we actually test extreme settins and serch for all kinds of limits, and then gradually setting up the so we can fight for pole and wins !!!!!

FERRARI FOR EVER !!!!!!!
Leclerc is flying
Ferrari has introduced a new rear wing, which is supported by only one pylon instead of the usual two.
This brings better overall efficiency at high speeds.
However, there was an issue with the DRS this morning, which meant the mechanics had to replace it with the old wing.
Also, Ferrari’s wings are more and more unloaded than last year’s specification, meaning Ferrari has found more load from the body, allowing them to run more efficient wings.

From Germany: Ferrari, 10-15 hp more than Red Bull Honda
The Ferrari power unit appears to be the best, according to what was observed in the Bahrain tests
The Germans of Auto, Motor und Sport have dedicated an in-depth study on the power unit of the Prancing Horse, indicating "the absence of concerns regarding reliability " and speaking of " 10-15 horsepower more than those of Red Bull Honda ".

Though, I'm still worried about tyre deg.
Hope we'll be able to launch a sustained challenge through the season and give the RBR (Marko, especially) a run for their money.
