I am hoping beyond hope that today's media frenzy referring to a Hamilton/Charles swap being engineered by John Ellkan is an attempt to disrupt the ongoing car development and team harmony on the eve of Charles' home race in Monaco. I just hope that for once, luck will be on his side and this rumour will die a natural death.
Wouldn't be the first time we signed an ex world champion, way past his prime, for silly amounts of money, in the hope that he will make the car go quicker. Rather than develop young new champions, like Red Bull, we've become a retirement home for has-beens (Alonso excluded)
Hamilton joining Ferrari will be the final nail in the coffin made of failure that surrounds Ferrari at the moment.
Vettel, Kimi. 40 mil to Lewis won't make the car go any quicker either. Waste of money when we can replace Carlos instead with one of our own protoges

Kimi maybe but he was still winning races, Vettel was not a has-been in the slightest.
Forza Ferrari
It would become a marketing bo the om for ferrari should hamilton jump.Ferrari are a marketing machine and then a formula1 manufacturer. Look at the eye watering amont ferrari is worth.if it was to pay off and and Hami wins a world title at ferrari it would be of monumental proportions. If it failed then guess what it would just end up being another day at ferrari.
Hamilton is negotiating a new deal with Merc and it's not going well according to Toto.
Could this rumour about joining Ferrari be of his making to get a higher deal?
If it were true then all of this would be done behind closed doors. It would be far too unsettling for the drivers who have the rest of the season to deal with and very unprofessional.
Forza Jules
Toto is the one making a mocery of this contract saga with lewis he is almost forcing his hand and lewis is biding his time. His contract is performance based and if merc can not be at the front then it posses a problem. This ultimately leaves the door open mainly for ferrari. In this whacky f1 sport with so many twists and turns I have come to always expect the unexpected.
Gazzetta reports that John Elkann wants Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc for Ferrari, basically creating a super team.
Gazzetta reports that discussions with Charles on contract renewal are currently on standby [car performance] but Charles intends to respect his current contract & is considered immovable by Elkann, who promised him a long-term renewal with the prospect of being team leader.

Gazzetta reports that Honda will return to F1 in 2026 by supplying engines to Aston Martin!
Official announcement is expected to come tomorrow!
It's not how start but how you finish.
Maybe Elkan't should be more occupied with building a super car? Doesn't matter who is driving if the car is a rolling dumpster fire, does it?
Alonso is going to have a coronary. He still has PTSD from the last time he drove a Honda powered car. With his luck Honda is going to go from a great engine to garbage once they are in the back of his car lol.
at least this one is....there's NO WAY taht Shamilton will ever come to FERRARI....maybe just to make sandwiches for Charles adn Carlos.....LOL
Elkan should just take his head out of his @ ** and spend the 50 million where in needs to be spent, on actually making the car faster and more reliable, as we have 2 great drivers which can deliver if they had a better/faster car as opposed to the DONKEY they are driving now...Jeez
I have a question. If Honda supplies Red Bull with engines at a price of $X million per year, do the Honda engineers have to follow a cost cap as well? Or is RB's cost just considered to be its purchase price? Could be a nice way for RB to circumvent the budget cap if Honda's engine department is not limited to a budget cap.
Rest in Peace Leza, you were a true warrior...
