Total heartbreak for Charles.
Like a lot of you, I want this to be Ferrari's year. It looked awesome for the first 3 races, but now the momentum is totally on RB's side.
Red Bull have a car that's more hooked up and has an edge on tires and straight line. Ferrari closed the gap some with the upgrades, but the team just seem very disorganized and feeling the pressure of trying to get the first title in 14 years.
Way too much pressure has been put on Charles like Alonso and Vettel before him. He's got a teammate that is useless, and has been made to wait for upgrades that should've come two races ago. The good news is that the upgrades have arrived and put Ferrari on par with Red Bull. Bad news is, Red Bull have the lead now.
The resigning of Sainz calls into question Binotto's judgement. Melbourne was a warning sign that he's capable of clownshoe mistakes, and since then it's been one mistake after another, after another.
Ça me donne de la nausée de voir sainz dans une Ferrari...franchement c'est quoi ce niveau même ces ingénieur sont null c quoi cette stratégie
It all looked so good for Charles until lap 27, I've always said we shouldn't jinx things by enjoying another driver's problems with DRS or whatever, it can come back to bite us and it did today. We needed that win and decent points from Carlos, but it all went horribly wrong. Charles was very mature about it and let's hope that his Monaco jinx won't add to our problems next weekend. Losing the championships leads is hard to take, but I'm not going to slag off the team, a 2.2sec pit-stop is good going, making it harder to accept it was all for nothing. Hope the ICE can be salvaged, Charles is still positive despite such a massive disappointment.![]()
WCC Standings:
RedBull 195
Ferrari 169
Mercedes 120
Huge uphill battle for us from here. The gap is huge to Redbull, and if Ferrari; Saniz specifically doesn’t wake up; we will end up 3rd before we know it.

Correct, you can clearly hear it was the Turbo that went. What a pity man! sadly these things do happen. first it was Red bull with problems, now us.......pendulum will carry on like this till the end of the season. Lets just hope its more them than us..........Still happy with today's performance before the engine went, we kept pace, which was good to see. I only hope it improve massively in Baku......
Drive it like you stole it!
Keep laughing. Mercedes took that dumpster of a car and gained over a second. They have consistently finished in the points; while Ferrari barely has both drivers finishing in the points.
RedBull has had their reliability struggles, yet still have managed to win the last three races in a row and have both drivers in the points. Even today, with all the DRS issues they still came 1-2.
Laugh all you want, it’s time for Ferrari to wake up. The season is slipping away from us

Guys , EXACTLY the same you could say about the Bulls after the 1st 3 races and look what happend!!! Today yes we had a bad setback with this DNF + Sainz exit ,BUT RedBull wasnt flawless themselves !! And IF (im pretty confident ) we retook the edge on performance , then this margin could quickly overcome !!!!
FERRARI FOR EVER !!!!!!!
sadly you're bringing some good valid points to the table....but i'm sure Ferrari will be working flat out to overcome these vows/gremlins they are having....as for Sainz, dont' think there is any hope....
the sooner the team realizes that Bottas would be a better #2 to charles, the better
Some people on here don't deserve to have a keyboard!!! The negative comments are pathetic!!!![]()
Drive it like you stole it!
Thanks fratello, I’m bringing valid points yet some members will just laugh it off and pretend that everything is ok simply because RedBull had some issues early in the season. There is some real reason for concern, yet some will simply pretend all is perfect. We’ve seen this episode before, Ferrari start strong and the other teams find their form and we end up loosing the development race. I’m not throwing in the towel, just saying there is reason for concern.

yup too many people here that LIKE SMELLING THE ROSES......it's all good and dandy, but the reality is that red bull IS and HAS BEEN a admirable team over the past decade and a half....and if they have issues, they quickly remedy them in a short period of time...
i'm not saying Ferrari will not do the same....but we as Fans we've been let down too many times in the past by our beloved team
let's hope that Ferrari and Co. will prove me wrong throughout this WHOLE SEASON
Yet Max won the race, and if not for a Merc problem, we would have finished behind Hamilton. What’s your point?
Wake up means stop throwing away points, do what you need to get Carlos’ head straight, and stop worrying about budgets and develop your car now. Your competitors don’t seem to be worried about the cap. By time they run out of money and we start spending ours they will be too far ahead in points anyways.
~FORZA FERRARI~
Max and Carlos had the same issue, yet one won the race while the other got beat by a midfield Merc who was in 18th place. What an argument to say Ferrari is ok![]()

Red Bull are definitely the more hooked up team right now. Clear number 1 driver and team orders, confident development plan, and they're not feeling the pressure of driving for the title because Max has that monkey off his back. So that's the bad news.
The good news is that Red Bull last year were 44 points in the hole to Mercedes after Austria in the WCC, and Max was 32 points ahead of Hamilton. Red Bull had looked untouchable, but then Silverstone and Hungary came and swung things around quickly in the title fight. It all came down to the Silverstone packages, and Mercedes gaining more from theirs than Red Bull did, and Red Bull's upgrades late in the season not doing much for the car.
There were signs that Ferrari made a big step forward with their upgrades. The pace was there for sure. More balance, better tire management, better straight line speed. Leclerc was 6 and 7That's the good news, as opposed to the upgrade not working.
Ferrari have to start focusing on winning races at any cost. Abandon Sainz, let him be on his own. Put all the resources into Charles, including upgrades. There is no reason why both cars must be upgraded together, when one driver is driving like Alonso, and the other can't stop making mistakes. Stop being afraid to bring an upgrade and try it on just Charles.
The upgrade package could've been brought to Imola. Ferrari made the wrong call to be concerned about spare parts for both drivers. They have to learn that lesson.
And if not for our problem Max would not have won the race...what's your point? Ignoring we were faster than Red Bull to pour your negativity out is pretty standard though.
We have a development plan for the car, if you can't handle that then really too bad for you. We brought an upgrade here that put us back ahead yet you want to cry about it. Throwing a hissy fit on the internet will not change anything.
