Not every lap, his second and fifth laps were quicker than the previous one. It's too difficult to read though without having inside knowledge of setups

A bit more consistent on those, albeit small sample size. I think it's a good thing we've ditched the q2 tyre requirement for the race start as the softer compound doesn't seem very good for longer than a few laps.

Conditions aren't representative, they are not going to race in this temperature. So I wouldn't read too much into it. But we do know one thing, the F1-75 definitively won the F1 beauty contest.

And eventually that solution always gets a green light from the FIA. Is it just a coincidence, does Mercedes have the brain power that no one else has? Or it is something else? Again, 9 other teams with hundreds of engineers and not one came up with this solution. Very interesting. It is also interesting that in a budget cap era, they can somehow build one car for the release date, a completely different car for the first test and another completely different car for test 2. Will Merc change LuLu and Geroge’s engine every race this year and run at fully party mode all the time? Afterall, their budget seems endless.
    What best solution?
How did you end up to this resolution ?
Where are the results that support what you say?
Mind you, we discuss THIS year.

Is this Will Buxton? Someone on sky going crazy over Strolls time on a medium where Sainz goes 4 tenths quicker on a harder compound..

Edit: There goes Sainz one second quicker than stroll on the same compound *crickets*

That W13 is still porpoising badly down the straight and we're on day 2 at Bahrain.
It's not how start but how you finish.

Like everyone, i really hope not, it would be the reverse of the goal communicated by Pirelli. We want driving races, not tire management races

Carlos P1 now, 1:33"943 on mediums (for memory : Max Verstappen posted a 1:28.960 during testing at Bahrain in 2021)

Pirelli aims to 0.7s gap between compounds. Usually around 0.5-0.6

Sainz on Russell’s claim that Ferrari look the strongest: "Typical Mercedes, typical George, hype up the others and come to the first race and blow the competition away. If it was the first year, I might have believed them. Already on the GPS we can see what they are doing."

Merc has destroyed the competition for 8 years in a row. Is it wrong to assume they might still know what they are doing? Also, I had clarified my comment in another post; “best” was referring to past solutions. Yes, you are correct to say that when speaking of this year no one knows what best is yet. I think our car is beautiful and purposeful. Ferrari has put a lot of work into these new regulations and I am optimistic that we will have a good year.

08:47 Sainz, on C4 tyres, logs a 1m33.532s to extend his advantage at the top - setting the best sectors two and three of the day with a bit of assistance from Hamilton on the main straight

1:33.532 on C4. But the engine has been turned down heavily, no purple/PB minisectors on the straights.

Nothing new, sadly, also at the same time always say that others are better, but why?
    I don’t like these manners
This was already the case in 2014 when they had cheated on the PU, with an advantage of 100 HP or even much more
    Incomprehensible, arrogant and very unfriendly!

whatever they say we for sure should not believe and expect them to be 1s slower. if we are on par we should be happy my opinion. do not forget we had a lot of ground to cover especially engine wise.

we cannot be from almost one second slower to a second faster in a timeframe of 3 months.
