Great drive from Max, I think we maximised what we could to be honest. Sainz took some damage which cost him the overtake on Danny ric

One Red Bull was only ahead by 7.7 seconds on the last lap and another Mercedes finished 28 seconds behind. Yeah....absolutely unreachable.

It seems you lot can never be happy with Ferrari's performance.

Where are they in the constructors championship points? Mercedes 433.5, Red Bull 397.5 and Ferrari 232.5.

Yes, and if people want to rave about how far ahead Ham/Ver were from Perez, Leclerc similarly destroyed the rest of the Ferraris and McMercs. He's on the same level for sure.

Guess you were living under rock and only got out just now.

A lot happened after 2019. But being butthurt and ranting over it is not gonna help you I'm afraid. Some us are happy with Ferrari's progress this season and there are plenty of reasons for our optimism.

But I guess you're keep on crying, rather than accepting the present.

This is a track that should have slightly favoured McMercs, yet we still took it, and part of that is down to our drivers. And weekend team work.

Good preform for both drivers Ferrari, good progress with this new engine I think that Ferrari will be 3 in the end 2021. For 2022 I believe fighting for championship

Charles was on another level. He only struggled at the beginning, from Lap 1-6 when the gap was over 10 seconds between him and Perez. But after settling down, he was on Perez's pace.

That stupid slow pit stop cost Sainz, hexwould have jumped Ricciardo and was much faster. Instead got damage in an overtake attempt he shouldnt have had to take. Thereafter the damage led to him losing a place. Next year they maybe in a title battle and silly pit stop errorsxwont go under the radar. Feel 2 places and 4 points lost.

He absolutely was on another level and you're right after that openining couple laps he was on Perez's pace.

So, like i was saying, if others want to rave about the level of Hamilton and Verstappen are on because of the gap they pulled, the same has to be said for Leclerc.

Also, talking about those opening laps, that was a bit of a weak spot, McMercs seemed a bit racier than us, Leclerc just managed it very well.

    Charles was fantastic.

Disgraceful job by the stewards to not give Ricciardo five seconds.

Carlos let down by the mechanics but I doubt he had enough pace on his outlap for an undercut. Another quite mediocre race by him.

Happy that Max won and hopefully he can put on a one-race gap to the clown before long.

I'm also quite mystified by not taking an easy fastest lap on scrubbed softs for Charles at the end but whatever floats the stragetists' boat I suppose!

It's less than a second a lap, that's doable, especially with big regulation changes like this off season.

Happy to see Charles get Best-Of-The-Rest.

Even more happy to see Hamilton lose to Max.

Overall a bore, but happy that we could get some points. The race showed that apart from engine, we also need to stop ruining a driver's race by improving our pitstops. Seems Carlos was let down by his 3.9s pitstop.

I think Charles was a bit conservative during the opening laps. As soon as Ricciardo pitted, Charles increased his pace by 7 tenths and was matching Perez.

And looking back at the lap time. The SF21 and the Mclaren were more-less matched each other in the sector 1. But the SF21 was faster by 3-4 tenths in the sector 2, the sector with the longest straight and had an advantage of 2-3 tenths in the sector 3 over the Mclaren, the most technically demanding sector of COTA.

Also Charles matched the pace of the top 3 on hard tyres. His best lap of 1:39.3, which he did on the second lap after his final pit stop, was only slower than Max and Ham, who were pushing to the absolute limit during the whole race.

The strategy and the pit-call was solid as well. So overall, a very positive race for Ferrari.

Hardly saw Charles at all during the race, and he drove a good one, deserving more than his P4 finish. Carlos is certainly a fighter and again a poor pitstop and RIC's bumper car antics probably lost him a position or two. Encouraging for our team all the same, we should be proud of what they have achieved this year. Shame the USGP has to be such a circus, but that's the way things are, some ignorant celebs should be banned from the pitlane.

Couldn't agree more! It would be much better if those VIP tickets teams give to real F1 fans in some kind of lottery or whatever.

Or Martin could speak to F1 team members etc rather than try and speak to celebrities who have no interest in F1.

#AMuS Ferrari was able to setup its car for maximum downforce without suffering on the straights. Unthinkable a few weeks ago, but now possible with the new hybrid upgrade. Ferrari was good in all types of corners in Austin - whether fast or slow!!!

We're lacking that final 2-3 tenths. Right now, we're comfortably ahead of the midfield. At the right track, we can fight for the win.

Next up is Mexico, a track that requires Monaco level downforce. Barring any reliability issues, we are in for a very good race there.

Being so far ahead of McLaren (Charles of course) on a track that suits them better than us is the answer to how our PU upgrade works.
As expected, the additional load it now allows to carry corrects some of the weaknesses we had since last year
On more favorable tracks (like the following one), we should be able to beat Perez and Bottas, and blow up McLaren (Ham and Vers could be more difficult to catch up, but Monaco has proven that it is possible)
It doesn't seem like enough for some of us, but in real life it's really a huge payback, showing how relevant our work was and still is.
