Initial checks show no serious damage to Charles's gearbox. But a final decision will be made in the morning.
Good news

Good news indeed
I really hope it sticks.
Yes it's positive news, but not yet completely out of trouble.
I just hope that we can finally celebrate after tomorrow's race. It's been a while.
I'm not sure why it takes so long to test a single part.
Still I figure it's at least 80 % chance the gearbox will remain on? Otherwise they wouldn't have released that statement.
I believe the reason they delay the decision for tomorrow is because the gearbox IS damaged and CO pushes to gamble.
And they will try to figure out if the probabilities are on CL side.
Yup. It was rather funny at some places. Max fans accusing Charles of deliberately crashing to prevent Max from getting pole, calling Leclerc and Ferrari big cheaters and then Max stating that Charles just made a mistake he (Max) himself had already made two times and that it was complete ******** accusing Charles of anything.
Some fans got rather confused by Max' remarks haha....

"Ferrari found no damage to the gearbox during their first inspection. A final decision will be made on Sunday morning. Ferrari also want to make sure that the rivals learn as late as possible about Leclerc's actual grid position."
Even if there had been a clear gearbox damage, Ferrari would have not communicated it until Sunday.

It's not how start but how you finish.
Iam enjoying the moment what ever the outcome.Look how far ferrari have come.
Unless there is clear damage they should 100% run the gearbox. Ferrari's best shot at a win is Monaco and they have pole position. Id rather fight for the win and DNF than fight for 5th.
Looks like Ferrari found no damage even after the morning inspection. Leclerc will start on pole position. Hopefully he gets a good start and pulls away into the distance.
I watched F2 GP yesterday, I saw that drivers have to try hardly for warming up tires. and If F1 cars also have to do that, Carlos Sainz will have a good chance to overtake Bottas at the starting because our cars are very good in cooler conditions.
No official news on gearbox change yet. All seems ok for now. Fingers crossed
