How do you screw up Austin v NYC?

How do you mess up by 1,700 miles?

They didn‘t take the wrong flight.
They wanted to visit New York first before heading to Texas.

Correlation issues between the car and the simulator.

    or

Pitstop: "Charles, do you want to stop in New York or keep going to Texas....it's your call."
Leclerc: "I want to stop in New York."
Pitstop: " Okay, don't stay long....see you in Texas."

LOL, well that makes more sense, but that's not what m6 wrote lol

Not sure why, Texas is way better than NY.

The question is how much pace does Merc have in hand? We know they have sandbagged previous in the Hybrid-era. And they always blow away competion during the 2nd half of the season.

Its clear they were outclassed x2 at Red Bull and then cranked up the power at Silverstone and blew Honda away, and that has only become more and more apparant since then. Mercs are faster than Red Bull with DRS. So if Verstappen should somehow end up ahead of the superior Mercs, how do you keep a Merc with than engine and DRS behind?

Hamilton raced like a rally driver in Turkey for 30 laps fighting and passing cars, yet his tires were just as good as Red Bulls and Ferrari, thats insane. In Russia Verstappens tires were shot everytime he climbed through the pack. All signs point towards Mercedes dominating yet again, and the worst part is the engine advantage is back again, meaning it could be game over until 2025 when the current engines are finally history. Ferrari needs to come out with a complete BOMB engine before the freeze if we are going to threaten Benz!

And yet I see plenty of Lewis fans claiming Red Bulls car has been the class of the field for the entire season.

Hamilton: "They have been too quick all year".

I honestly think RBR is going for consistency, as it is obvious that Mercedes (& Hamilton) will probably be in hyper-drive mode for the remainder of the races.

Though, there are accusations waiting to materialize if the Merc's speed & reliability are reminiscent of its dominance in the recent past.

This championship battle will probably go down to the wire.

Fortunes hang in reliability, avoidance of driver/team errors, the effectiveness of supporting driver (Bottas/Perez), and luck.

IMHO Mercedes has a slight edge because of the team dynamics, the powerhouse of an engine, Hamilton's consistency, Bottas, and mastery of politics (with Toto).

If Merc's engine is the reliable powerhouse you suggest, which looks to be the case, then Mclaren presumably will also have that engine to fight Ferrari off for P3 in the Constructors' Championship, so we should be worried too.

As of now, we have the advantage of 2 good consistent pilots and track characteristics that play into the SF21's strengths compared to the McMercs.

I would like to see Ferrari beat the McMercs this year. But, watching Verstappen beat Hamilton will be very rewarding,

I see exactly where you are coming from.

And the FIA completely refused to investigate the plenum situation.

Quite agree about our car and drivers, also regarding the HAM/VER battle it would please me to see HAM knocked off his perch!

Saw some tweet, it says that F1 in Germany lost 75% of viewers last year and same time Formula E had 338% more viewers.

Could that be true, 75% is a lot.

Meanwhile Austin Texas had 400,000 fans across the practice to race . The race alone had 140,000 fans! There's already talk of a Las Vegas track which would make it 3.

Yep on Vegas. Vegas should be a night race. It should have passage thru the red light district with girls dancing in hanging cages.....lazer light show....going down the long strip.....yeah....EPIC!!!

it definitely has the infrastructure. 3 F1 tracks in the states........nice.

Promotional video does not fall into "news" category. So yeah, Ferrari forum is not the place for another team's promo video.

So you guys have a problem with a team promoting the up-and-coming GP (MexicoGP 2021) or any up-and-coming GP's or the vicinity or country of the up-and-coming GP??

The purpose of promotional videos are to showcase the brand in a succinct manner. Red Bull is promoting their own brand, and the target audience is their fans. It does not fall into "news and rumors" category.

So this forum is not the place for posting Red Bull promo videos.
