Peak performance of Mercedes is always faster than others, it's just disappointing, it's the same story since ages.

Solid not "super" as you call it, yesterday they had to ditch Max's race sim due to gearbox issue.

thanks. they won races last year with the Renault PU, so they should be in contention this year. Funny how some people thought Honda would need a lot longer to build a competitive PU.

lol i thought honda would be worse which i was hoping would make it slightly better chances for us but it seems to have went in the other direction

I’ll say not close enough. It took ferrari almost 3-4yrs to be at merc PU level.
Don’t think Honda sort that gap. Important thing to remember, RB are ready take engine penalties this year if provided Honda PU is at peak power. Honda facing vibration issues with their PU.

Seb said the new rear wing position this year has made it very hard to compare PUs to last year. since it causes more drag than before. So maybe newey is maneuvering his design to make it less drag so thats why honda look so close or something

The only explanation I can think,is that we are bolting the new(?) parts. Otherwise it is so so strange that last week we had an almost perfect test and now having all kind of problems every single day????!!!!
