More than upgrades to me they look like hurried and panicked new features. That front wing is hideous and the floor board has so many winglets you could play flipper on it!

Mercedes expect major steps with its new packages, RB have yet to show its new stuff but it should be a lot so might be soon

Mercedes have in the past brought in upgrades that actually didn't work as have Ferrari. Toto was saying that to copy the Ferrari concept it would take months to implement and I can bet you they have already started working on it. The RIM design of last year was something they had been mentioning since the days of Ross Brawn so it's not like a sudden miracle.

Mercedes are poised for a 3 way fight this year and I'm happy about it.

its mind boggling how quick they are able to develop parts and pieces since it supposed to take months to think up, build,test and bring new stuff

They had this update planned from the beginning. They didn't create it in one week.

I'm not certain how much of last year was Mercedes winning the development race vs Ferrari being coerced into removing some of their updates that were being challenged by Mercedes.... I think Mercedes has the political clout now to do what they want... the media are turning a blind eye to this, but Ferrari were being roasted for doing much less in the early 2000's, including team orders while Mercedes gets away with everything...

All the more that we need to stay focused as a team. I believe we lost a great deal of influence after the passing of Sergio Marchionne, which "coincidentally", was right about the same time Mercedes flexed its muscles with the FIA. I liked Arrivabene, but his leadership style was not what the doctor ordered, especially when Mercedes had no qualms of using team orders to propel Lewis on top. Put it bluntly, he was too soft and too passive.

I don’t think it’s related to any driver. May be ferrari are changing the set-up or suspension etc as these will take time to fix it.
