There's no chance in hell he'd leave Mercedes before he won #8 and then he'd be too old anyway and would want to retire rather than try something new, not to mention he's an extremely unpopular driver with the vast majority of Tifosi except a certain Vettel-hater on here as well as someone repeatedly slagging off his own team even while winning so that's a non-starter.
First and foremost I’d like to state that I’m NOT a Hammy fatness at all...but I have to disagree with you on the point you made that he got beat fair and square in 2016
He had more wins that year in comparison to Nico and won the last 4 races, he only missed on that WDC because of his engine blowing up in Malaysia which until that point was never heard of at Merc as they had an engine that was pretty much bulletproof
Again I’m glad tha hammy did not win in 2016 as he’d be closer to Michaels records which makes me cringe saying that it was mainly car that got him (Lewis) all these WDCs so far.....oh and also with the help from his buttler Bottas
So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.
