off topic but interesting: https://www.grandprix247.com/2018/07...nterview-team/
Fantastic result! Luckily the rain stayed away during the session (or Max would have been up there). I bet it's going to rain any moment now. The US tyre had just perfect temps today, low/mid 20C. Perfect compared to yesterday when it was 30C+. All factors are really going Ferrari's way at the moment. I just hope it doesn't backfire when it really counts. Hopefully the weather will stay exactly the same tomorrow as during qualifying and same temp. Hopefully they remember to check everything on Kimis car as he went over the curbs hard like Lewis did.
By the way. Have you noticed the Pirelli tarmac ad that says "Pirelli Color Edition"? It shows the medium, soft and super soft (red) tyre although Pirelli brought the ultra softs here. Mistake or is it always like that?
Kimi is still on first spec engine he didn't get a new one. Kimi also runs less wing on his car than Seb and this contributes to him having more understeer. He does have high top-end speed though and will be able to push Bottas into turn 6 tomorrow if he cannot pip him at the start.
Haha Hamilton cracked under pressure, ran wide and broke gearbox, Hamilton and his fanboys be like "It was interesting tactics from Ferrari"
Of course it's dangerous, there are other cars running at speed around him.
It's a shame that Kimi is forced to run old engine because of limits, also the speed of second league will mean he is up to P5 very quickly. F1 really is not very healthy at the moment.
I don't think F1 is in the right direction, tomorrow i'll be surprised if Hamilton getaway for pushing his car (without a penalty) or they will change the gearbox incase if they handed a penalty, in race day they called it RACING INCIDENT, but in Ferrari's way they called it 10sec or 5 sec penalty FOR CAUSING A COLLISSION.
Hamilton must get a penalty for this. It would be absurd if he doesn't get one.
"Always move forward, take it one step at a time, eventually you'll reach your goal and if you happen to fall on face your still moving..."
No Penalty for Hamilton according to F1.com as of now, Looking ahead, it will be fascinating to watch Hamilton - who will start 13th assuming no penalties for power unit or gearbox changes - and Ricciardo - who will start from the back - battling through the field in tomorrow’s race. But Vettel knows that, with that scorcher of a lap, he’s well and truly got the psychological higher ground heading into Sunday.
Hamilton must get penalised.
He caused a very dangerous situation by bringing marshals on the track while everyone was trying to improve on their last attempt on Q1 times. Seb got penalised in Austria for spoiling 1 persons'.
I couldn't believe my eyes cars going at full speed and him running on track like a mad man.
If F1 is all about safety then action must be taken.
This was 100 times worse than wheel nuts coming loose.
"I really don't know what happened" - Lewis Hamilton (frequently)
Huge lap by Seb! Grande Seb!! Forza Ferrari! Merc are cracking under pressure...let’s hope for a good clean start tomorrow.
If cry baby hamilton doesn’t get a penalty for that it will be the most biased BS call in F1 history.
~FORZA FERRARI~
The real ridiculous thing was the marshalls were not even escorting Lewis off the track. They should have done their jobs properly by stopping the driver to force the car back to the pit. I can't imagine they left a driver out there, being exposed on track while other cars might be speeding around that corner.
And the FIA talks so much about safety campaign... (*facepalm)
Allison and Sassi effect.Mercedes factory in panic mode it seems, due to the Ferrari resurgence. They are not as bullet proof as in years past.
And don't forget we have had good starts past few races so jump bottas from the start and control the race.
If we have one car in front of the mercs then they shew tyres and their is fubar :).
Hero's come and go, but legends never die!
so ham engine and gearbox are checked and apparently no damage, it was a hydraulic failure caused by ham in turn one, which loss power steering.
Mercedes have brought a new starting procedure which they have focused on nonstop since silverstone to match or beat ferrari's starts bottas will be dangerous going into turn 1 and 2
also rumors that "someone" *cough* asked FOM not to get nico rosberg to interview the top 3 post quali.... i wonder who and if true... i say karma, fingers crossed for tomorrow, so stressed, wished kimi could'v had a p2 to cushion seb a bit

Positivity doesn't win you championships, whining about people being negative makes you blind!

Kind of funny, he breaks the rules, and acts like he has done something heroic
