In case it snows on the track....

It's early days and there probably running a really low engine mode but that Honda engine looks a massive step forward potentially if it stays this way Redbull could switch to it next year
From Autosport:
Might be interesting...Gary Anderson is taking advantage of the lack of action to make an early start on jotting down his day one observations, which Autosport Plus and Motorsport.com Prime readers will be able to enjoy later on today. Three cars in particular have impressed him today, and the Mercedes isn't one of them.
Yep, us , RB and McLaren. He said the Merc was not flowing
My experience says do hell with what Gary says. We’ll see come Melbourne
Just saw result. It is way early days... So how we are doing?

Now DR is out again....he's gonna break 100laps.
Most laps completed and fastest lap goes to Daniel Ricciardo for day one.....rain or shine. Well done mate.
day 1 session is over.
Best times...

yep, they could have put in more laps.....but it started to drizzle then rain which I guess the Scuderia have a valid excuse. (sarcasim)
More days are going to be like this....cold and rain (heavier at times) so we need to get in as many laps as possible since there are tyres for this type of weather.
If it snows...thats another issue and it is rumoured they might cancel the day and move it to Friday.
Agreed about Mclaren, so whats RedBulls excuse to keep going then???
The issue is the rain....it wasn't even a deluge but enough to get the track wet. I realize this track has been resurfaced but it was not hot enough to cause the oils to seep through and making the track very slick....it was cold.
This is the part I get frustrated with....the rain and mostly everyone calls it a day....except for the few that either need to or want to.
Stats for day one... and this year compared to last year
