Its not doom and gloom and I just said Vettel was saying they need to understand the car better. Otherwise, he would say like last year, it looks good, but we dont know what the others are doing, so lets wait for Australia. Its not doom and gloom, its reality, we are slower, the sooner we accept it and find ways to make the car faster, the better we will be. Look at the data, study the data, also, look at videos, see how the car behaves, how they get on the throttle. Its not like its 100% accurate, but it gives a little bits of info. Also, when you compare race sims, they tell you a lot. You just cant compare stint to stint, you have to see when they pitted, and not just compare stints. Stints can be different fuel loads. When you start a race sim, you can get an idea how much fuel will be in the car give or take a few laps. Then you analyze. Each lap of fuel is worth .05sec. So, it gives you some idea. If you also look at previous few years, the pre season testing has given you a clue, and almost 90% of the time, it turned out to be true.

I dont think its a rubbish car, I think they have not understood the car, its complicated with the long wheelbase.
You can go down the wrong path and no matter how good your last years car is, if you change a lot, then, it can go wrong. We will see. Its frustrating, but we will see.
