waiting for 1 more go on US before lunch.
A little ripple of applause in the media centre as Kimi breaks 1:19 - it's a 1:18:634 for Kimi in the Ferrari. #skyf1
Ferrari good on every compound!!!....mostly the mediums too since we now have analysis for tyre strategy which plagued us at some GP's last year due to testing in the US/SS tyres last year.
Andrew Benson:
A 1:18.634 for Raikkonen on super-softs. Could Mercedes do that? Possibly. Possibly not.
And Ferrari now hold the fastest times on each compound...
Supersofts: Kimi Raikkonen, Day Eight, 1:18.634
Ultrasofts: Sebastian Vettel, Day Seven, 1:19.024
Softs: Kimi Raikkonen, Day Eight, 1:19.267
Mediums: Sebastain Vettel, Day Three, 1:21.609
Good sign I think
Our thermal floor seems to be back on today. Also updated socket detail where the top wishbone joins the nose - https://d2kmm3vx031a1h.cloudfront.ne...-649491632.jpg
12:57 Raikkonen's set the fastest middle sector so far.
12:57 It's another 1m18s from Raikkonen – but this time 'only' a 1m18.9s.
12:59 Raikkonen was out there on ultra-softs, but couldn't improve.

Teasing Ferrari
New fastest sector two of the year so far from Raikkonen. It's A 1:18.911 from the Finn on ultrasoft tyres - only the second lap we've seen in the 1:18s but not good enough to topple his previous benchmark
Racecar Engineering@RacecarEngineer
New fastest lap for Raikkonen - 1m18.634, but was about 5kph down on Grosjean in speed trap in S2, slower than Stroll in trap in S3.

MORE RAIKKONEN INFO
Interesting to note that after Raikkonen set his fastest lap, he stuck around on track for a little bit, suggesting the car wasn't extremely light on fuel.
Just hope its not all out from Ferrari

Andy Green: Force India car is 10Kg too heavy
Merc engine got heavier
Merc gearbox got heavier ("12cm longer" plus changes to pass the rear crash test)
Heavier engine = less ballast for balancing the car.
Art without engineering is dreaming. Engineering without art is calculating. Steven K. Roberts
i think we can go .2 or .3 faster, but thats all
this testing looked good for the team... now let's wait for melborune and Forza Ferrari!!!
"Pre-season testing times are notoriously unreliable indicators of true form because there are so many possible variables in the specification of the cars.
But the growing feeling within F1 is that Ferrari may start the season with a genuinely competitive car for the first time since 2008"
Andrew Benson, BBC. Grudgingly written and even then more than a little 'guarded'! #ForzaFerrari! and up yours buddy!
Trying to be less angry..
If ferrari start as favourites, then they should maintain that lead/gap through excellent in-season development. Else
Mercs who caught james into their pocket & RB with Newey anytime can catch our lead.
anybody has a tin foil hat? Found this online
McLaren are sabotaging the engine. They realise it's not competitive and they're trying to bully and embarrass Honda into quitting so they can get another engine.
Nobody wants to make an engine for McLaren so they're stuck with Honda and can't fire them. But if Honda quit they can have the sport step in an force somebody to supply them.
Honda can't find the mystery electrical gremlin because it's literally just being turned off.
On the other side, i have a doubt.
If ferrari believe they have the pace in them, why they are revealing now by ranking up high 1.18's & low 1.19's, where other teams like mercs & RB aren't too much interested in showing up the pace.
By doing so, they are once again pushing the others in making statements 'like ferrari is the team to beat as the same way in 2016'.
Yep, also not sure. We just have to wait until AUS now
