Well you know testing is getting close when the team trucks start showing up at Barcelona. Sauber, Renault & Red Bull are there... now, so OK, I am starting to get a little excited.
Pics on twitter at @OfficialMinis , tried posting but no luck due to suspect computer skills?

1 Week... until Winter Testing !!!!
All the talk, all the rumors coming to an end & we still won't know anything for sure until Melbourne
But there will be plenty to speculate about.

CUT ME. CUT YOU. BOTH OUR BLOOD IS FERRARI RED!
After the Manor and the Williams, another letdown.
A few notes: the ugly roll hoop/air intake is inspired by the 2010 Mercedes one, no new sponsors and the livery isn't that good (gold, really?)... although it is way better than the white/grey from a few years back!

I'm in the middle of how to react to this Sauber. Its.........
I think new Sauber looks good.
The more I look at it, the more I'm puzzled by it.
So the 2017 season has brand new rules, and what does Sauber? Resurrects a 7 year old concept (the airbox from the Mercedes W01).
The sidepods are as massive as the ones on last year's car (just compare them to the Williams ones)
Positive thoughts: the air deflectors on each side of the cockpit protections look good, as the bargeboards do, the rear wing looks interesting

My livery idea for Sauber
Changed sharkfin
removed white spot
and added gold line on barge boards

Ferrari = 235 victories + 219 pole positions + 248 fastest laps = constructors championships 16
Compare the new 2017 Sauber with last year’s model

The gold looks awesome, nice livery
So who's toddler colored in the Sauber. It looks terrible.
Both Williams and Sauber looks nothing special. Nothing at all! Like last years cars....
Better not set your expectations too high:
This is the render of the FW36 from 2014, a year that also had huge changes to the rules (the image is copyrighted by Williams, so it's an official one)

This is the version raced in Melbourne. I fail to see that many differences between both...

We have to remember that this is the first year of new rule changes, remember in 2009 when the rules changed as well, how the front wings were basically 2 flaps on either side of the nose with none of the upper elements, and now look at them, I think by the time the middle of the season come around you will see some rapid development of the cars.
Kinda reminds me of the 1994 Williams Rothmans car.......
Does anyone know why the "barge boards" (vanes next to the t-tray) are so far outward and forward in the 2017 model when compared to the 2016 model? Rules ??? I have seen these barge boards in the past when they were introduced close to the t-tray on many an F1 cars just like this particular example in the 2016. I have some understanding as to why they are there (are they to smooth out the vortices(causes drag) from the disturbed air from the tyres, suspension arms and front wing?????). If so, the reason they(barge boards) are so far outward and forward is due to a number of factors: 1.) the swept back angle of the front wing. 2.) the wider front tyres 3.) to create a low pressure effect in the area behind the barge board so air flows smoothly into the air inlet and around/side of the car.... or am I completely wrong.
The new Ferrari....codenamed "668".....how bout.....SF70-H???
