I don't think we need to panic. I think we've had the quickest car in race trim at every race so far. we just need pole and we have to keep the lead into first corner. I'm pretty confident we'll be very competitive this weekend
Rest in Peace Leza, you were a true warrior...

Ferrari's upgrade seems reasonable. At first glance we've brought a new front wing/nose cone, new bargeboards and winglets forward of the bargeboards, new T-wing, new diffuser... and presumably a lot we can't see yet (or ever).
It's not the same complexity of the Mercedes, but that doesn't mean anything... I remember in pre season all the pundits called it for Mercedes because of the incredible complexity of their car... and we know how that turned out.
I'm nervous, but I'm staying positive and I have faith in the team. They know what they're doing. Our philosophy is far different to the Mercedes and we clearly don't have to fix the immense balance issues that they've had. We get to fine tune, where as they're still working hard to find the sweet spot.
Fingers are crossed for the weekend.
Again, disappointment of the day goes to redbull
how do we know we have a new front wing and whats new about it
Merc upgraded their PU, they are upping the power and bolting more downforce

Go Ferrari, beat them all!
Mercs are really panicking, that they brought their suppose to be car design for 2018.

if i compare with sochi version, i think there's no differences or anything new in this area CMIIW
Mai Dare Sulla Speranza, Forza Ferrari!!
Did we have this massive wing-like lower wishbone of rear suspension or is it an update for Barcelona? I didn't notice it and it seems very aggressive TBH.
This is from testing days...I think it is same one
Its the 2015 Ferrari...

Here's a true picture that I put a little bit of light:

"Sebastian Vettel’s steering wheel with a new shorter clutch paddle, which supersedes the wishbone design and features a fingertip slot in order that the German gets a better feel for the clutch as it’s released.". https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/g...etail-12704156
After a quick look at today's pole lap comparisons, I can't help but think how much the SF17 reminds me of the F2007.
Is this just me, or is anyone else on here agree. 2 cars from completely different eras, but seem to have a strong linkage. May be it's the singlet structures around the mid segment?

I've been thinking the same. But I thouht of the F2008. I do belive that it isnt a coincident that we suddenly are competetive again when the rules aerowise has moved in that direction when we last had a very strong package.
Regarding Sebs engine. Which one is he racing now? Did we rotate back to number one?
This article says that Vettel reveted to 1st ICE.
https://it.motorsport.com/f1/news/fe...re-n-1-905653/
Article claims that misunderstood happened about the ICE, and actually Vettel is on 1st one. I guess we need wait more to know the truth.
