Far too easy to say that though. Kimi has been very strong here over the years.

Good P3, strong Q..We r looking better than we have last 2 races.
Great to see us getting back to it.
I think its more than that though. It shows that the
technical dept is headed in the right direction. Now, lets race.

Reporter : how do you win the race tomorrow
Vet : by crossing the chequered flag

Reporter : wt r ur chances to win the race tomorrow??
Vet : everyone in top5 have a chance to win the race. We think softs are the right one, so we went with.

Kimi : I lost some time in last corner else pole was within in grasp, but we should be happy from where we are in last race.

Nice to see we had a chance at pole. Did Rosberg mess up on his lap or did we have genuine pace. Bodes well for the race. And then we have our big engine upgrade next week at Monza...

These press conferences are pure embarrassment anyway, almost as bad as most of the podium interviews. But good to see we seem to have made a comeback, hope our tyre strategy and the weather play into our hands, we're looking better than we have for a long time.

I'm thinking that maybe tomorrow we'll have a chance to fight podium placement for both cars, even a win. Spa is a good venue because the lap is so lonq

Maybe due to the tyre pressure we're back ?

Going by my calculations by adding all the fastest sectors in Q3, Kimi had the quickest accumulated lap time of 1'46.699. Nico wasn't far off at 1'46.744, but Max was further than expected at 1'46.806. Still very close as the difference over the line may be just a foot or less.

One thing I want to say about the broadcasting of the races - I get furious when they play the highlights of the race start within 3 laps after the start! Why? What's so special that we need to look back in time when the most critical moments of the race are in action. If it is wanted, then do so when the race has settled, such as just after the first round of pitstops. Whatever they do, just concentrate on the most important part, which is the racing - the highlights can be shown when viewers are no longer hanging off the end of their chairs!

I think this suits very well with Kimi. He is already one of the best at keeping the tire degradation to a minimum and he knows his way around Spa. Hope we have a good start
