Ferrari are out in Fiorano today testing next years wider tyres and simulating the 2017 aero package.
The rear wing won't curve like it is here. It just allows them to simulate aero loads a bit better.
wow... its really beautiful !!! Hope we can learn something for next year.
It's nothing to do with the team what they run today, Pirelli has set a testing schedule for the tyres. So how about you stop trying to rubbish the team for any reason.

We will run slicks when we are scheduled to run them.......
Forza Ferrari
Nice, the cars are starting to look beautiful again! Forza, here's to a resurgent SF in 2017!
Must say I like the long nose of the F15 better than the current.
Tire size is the same but theyre wider
tires. They do look better.
305/670-13 at the front (currently 245/660-13)
405/670-13 at the rear (currently 325/660-13)
Tires looks great!
The front tyres look little bit too big to me, but it's for sure better, than now.

Why do people that trash the team are not facing the consequences?
This is getting really old.
Before people start to trash the team, at the very least should do their homework, or they look like idiots.

Great pix Ste, thx.
That car looks great...lets run it at the next race....
Why not? That bugger won last year....
The rear tyres look awesome! Hope we learn something more & apply to our 2016 & 2017 cars.

The car looks pretty awesome to be honest. I do think it will pose some wheel to wheel racing challenges in tight tracks like Monaco or Hungary.
Personally Id like see the cars with a 15-20% increase in tire width vs the 25% shown above.
Sebastian Vettel began Pirelli’s 2017 tyre development programme by completing 120 laps of Ferrari’s Fiorano test track with a modified 2015 car. He drove installation laps on slick tyres before focusing on multiple tread patterns of wet tyres.

Sebastian Vettel has debuted the new, wider 2017 Pirelli tyres with Ferrari at the team’s Fiorano test track.
The German driver was at the wheel of a modified SF15-T on Monday as he kicked off a two-day test programme with the new tyre sizes.
Pirelli has previously tried out 2017 compounds on current-spec tyre sizes but its extensive test plan with the wider tyres has now started.
The tread of the new tyres is 25% wider than the current Pirelli range. The front tyres will be 60mm wider (from 245 to 305mm) and the rears will increase 80mm (from 325 to 405mm).
Vettel completed a few installation laps in the morning before switching his main focus to intermediate and wet weather tyres in 2017-spec.
The Fiorano track has been artificially dampened for the testing, which Haas F1 driver Esteban Gutierrez will continue for Pirelli on Tuesday.
Vettel’s car has been modified to simulate the new aero regulations coming into force next year and to fit the wider 2017 tyres.
Red Bull will be the first team to try the slick Pirelli 2017 tyres, with Mercedes joining in later on to help the F1 supplier with its testing programme.
Pirelli test schedule:
August 1-2: Fiorano, Ferrari, wet tyres
August 3-4: Mugello, Red Bull, slick tyres
September 6-7: Barcelona, Ferrari, slick tyres
September 6-8: Paul Ricard, Mercedes, slick tyres
September 21-22: Paul Ricard, Mercedes, wet tyres
October 12-13: Barcelona, Mercedes, slick tyres
October 14-16: Abu Dhabi, Red Bull, slick tyres
November 2-3: Abu Dhabi, Red Bull, slick tyres
November 14-16: Abu Dhabi, Ferrari, wet tyres
November 29: Abu Dhabi, Mercedes, Ferrari and Red Bull, all tyres

Was expecting rear wing to go down further, but all in all new generation cars will look better than 2009-16
SWEET... looking forward to next year.
So going back to what people said it was a wet tire test? The slicks were used just for instal laps...
Why do we get one slick test, Mercedes get two and Red Bull three? That doesn't seem very fair.
Forza Ferrari!!
We get 2 slick days testing and 1 wet. Same as Red Bull and Mercedes. So seems fair enough between us 3 but hardly fair on the rest of the grid.

Any comments from Vettel? What were his feelings

Does anyone know if the three teams' test data is mutually shared or just for Pirelli's confidential use? Thanks for the video but I gotta say that I'm still not enamored
with the sound of this generation of motors, the shriek factor is SOOOO missing:( Try hard for some cheer over the summer break guys!
