Fi is and always was about a top car for the season and a lucky to be in that car driver. Ex. Nico throw in Ricciardi. It's the car and alot of luck not getting DNF due to the likes of a crash expert, or a Ferrari gear box.

..wow what bunch of ... last year you lot were pretty much cursing kimi...and yelling out how ferrari did a stupid thing by hiring him for 2016, and now look at you all hypocrites....you cant stop kissing kimi's . and according to you , now seb is an overpaid below average driver.. wow.. there s nothing more fickle than the fans in this forum... your attitude is sickening... yours.... sorry for the foul language..but this is too much...
today was really joyful to watch him in the first laps. Sadly team made some fundamental mistakes.
yea twas really good.. and that too without drs... he overtook ricciardo, perez and could have overtaken verstappen ...could have.... p2 was possible..but strategy was not favourable..
you know, when you have been driving a not so good car for so long.. and suddenly you get a jump to a good car..you can make a huge difference... cos you have been struggling to drive an inferior car ,the fighting becomes easier and driving becomes smoother... thats what happened to vettel when he made a jump to redbull in 2009 and look how well he drove.... same happened for ricciardo in 2014... he drove smoothly and vettel suffered quite a lot with aggressive driving and tyre deg, he had his reputation to keep up and his driving became poor ,cause he was trying to do the impossible... if you take nico or lewis and now put them in any inferior car, they would totally suck...cause now they have it easy, they dont have to fight the car like others have to, because of the car's superior chassiss, aerodynamics and traction... you also have to take into consideration a drivers psychology before blaming him, vettels been a 4 time WC, and thats a huge burden when it comes to getting results.. everybody is expecting the impossible from him.. cut him some slack folks...
Seb is just inconsistent and pretty moody. I like him though, don't get me wrong. He is a great individual. However, he tends to make major mistakes. Fortunately, he provided an awesome performance today. Lets hope he continues to perform like this to end of the season and beyond in 2017 so he can earn a contract extension in 2018.
Thats what i meant when i said..about a driver's psychological condition..nobody is facing the same pressure as vettel..nobody is a 4 time WC..and nobody knows how it feels to go all the way to the top..and stay there too long only to be dropped down and critized and undermined... And its only a matter of time before you start doubting yourselves ..vettel himself said so.. happens..look what happened to kvyat..after he was demoted,he was outof shape out of form.. RIGHT NOW,you are seeing a driver who is trying to defend his past..and has everything to lose.. You dont see a ricciardo in him..cos he was a ricciardo when he came to redbull..that time is over for him..now he is a 4 time WC who failed to win a single race so far in 2016 same as in 2014, and the whole worlds laughing at him.. If he is not supposed to be moody..for all the grid penalities and engine blowups..and DNFs..who else should be?
And i certainly dont think it was vettels fault in malaysia..and neither am i blaming nico there was clearly a gap..and he was doing just fine going alongside max..and they didnt make contact..so everything was fine..it just so happened that nico turned in for the corner Probably didnt see vettel or max,and i am super glad that vettel tried for that gap..cause you know that shows he is a racing driver..and he is not here to play follow the leader..like ayrton said,if you no longer go for a gap that exists , you are no longer a racing driver..
So, 8 pages in and we have yet to figure out what's wrong with Vettel.
He's less mistake prone when he's out front, but when you put him in a race pack he causes a lot of collisions. As we've seen this season. He's already collected Kimi twice this year and in addition to that crashed out once by himself.
Mexico 2015 was one of the worst races I've seen by a top driver either, multiple spins and he ended the race by just crashing into a wall. It was so odd.
If someone on the opposing team is equally on pole, Ferrari is then not getting Seb on pole. No cure! Merc on pole as the situation is means Ferrari's not getting the job done. Up front say by 1 or 2 seconds, there's a lot less traffic. A good ex. would be to have Nico start from the back due to a 1/2 dozen or so gearbox failures, or keep him off pole and see how good he would be. It's very simple, Ferrari please give Seb " the car " and pole.
Here is a battle in wet where vettel is defending a charging lewis in formula 3..hope you guys enjoy it..

Vettel seems to be backing away from talks to extend his contract. I have to wonder if Ferrari have considered the amount they're paying him is really not being represented well on track.
