Oh there was! Don't you remember Marchione that "we will be fighting Merces from the first race"? And that he "Expects us to be in the front row in Melbourne"? There were promises. And they were not fulfilled. I wasn't around in 1999-2004 so I can't say that, but we are nowhere near being at least in fight. That's what we want, we want to se Ferrari fighting Mercedes after all what was said. You say it's 3 year programme... But next year are new rulles, so what we learned till now in aero and mechanical department is useless, so 3 year project does not make sense from the beginning.

It's quite interesting wathcing the two Mercs being probably on different setups. As Hamilton is faster in S1 and S3 but Rosberg is owning him in S2. And still they then do an exactly the same lap time.

The car is definitely stronger in the race than qualifying but to be fair we haven't seen what we can do when both cars have a clean race. We need to sort the reliability gremlins and start 3 & 4 (which we are more than capable of) at least to avoid contact like what we had today. The Mercs do tend to make mistakes when under pressure.
Anyways, we had strong pace on softs especially towards the end of the stints. So lets see what Kimi can do!

Ferrari doesn't have race pace too...!! I think it better to revert older engine only. Current one seems to be no where.

you do realise, you can not develope 2015 engines dont you? 2106 engine faster, just bit fragile, problem is Mercs will never stand still, so that gap will always be there unless we strap on another turbo, or find 4 seconds to beat and be ahead of the Mercs. Under the rules, "tokens" no testing that will never happen. Merc has/had 2-3 years head start on these engines.

I think he ment the engine before this week's "upgrade"
