Why would Mr Lowe move from a winning team to Ferrari?

Money? Why would Mercedes need Allison if all spots are full?

Paddy wants a pay rise (2x his current salary), that's what I read somewhere.Apparently Ferrari is willing to offer him the same, hence he is using this as a bargaining chip. Now I feel, Mercedes are using Allison as a counter bargaining chip.

Ross Brawn only see RB and Merc as contenders next year

Red Bull was one of the main instigators for change ahead of the drafting of the 2017 regulations and its expertise in aerodynamics have led to the belief it will excel next season. However, Brawn believes Mercedes is just as likely to find the key to 2017 success as Red Bull.

"Don't underestimate Mercedes, it's a strong outfit and a good car. There are four teams with Mercedes engines and only one that is winning, and there is a reason for that: it's a good team and a good car. Don't underestimate what Mercedes can achieve. But Red Bull would have been one of the main protagonists behind this rule change, which is why I say that the political element is always there in Formula One."

Ross' overwhelming respect for Ferrari is too much for words! What a guy! F1 represents a two team race for 2017! Ross' is doing wonders for future F1 attendance.

    Goodbye SF-16H.

Can't wait for the F2017, hopefully it will be more competitive than its predecessor.

    Yeah, hopes and dreams
At least 2017 cars should be much prettier and faster.

Time to light those 2016 gearboxes on fire

Look forward to seeing all the 2017 car design next year.

I'd expect next year to be a challenging one for us, as we will be up against 2 very strong competitors. Merc already have a good foundation, while Red Bull has always been good when it comes to aero and chassis.

But I believe Ferrari will be more than capable of getting there, as we are not that far behind this season. We just need to get the new regulations right from the start.

Mmmm, i suppose ferrari should go for a "mercedes like" power unit configuration, with the turbo split in each side of the engine, the MGU-H in the middle and a water-air intercooler between the intake manifold and the plenum chamber. You could made the engine more compact. and doing it a body with not to much area.

I really think we should focus more on aero and tiers, the engine will be fine

That's right. Red bull never had the most powerful engine when they won for 4 consecutive years.

Take in mind with a more compact engine like the mercedes, or even with a intercooler between the plenum and intake, is possible made a tighter packaging aero pack, reducing all the drag area around the sidepods, if you see the rb12 you will notice how small are is the rear packaging (Also it got a "delta" shape to avoid a low pressure which would compromise the car aerodynamic) . Also would be possible to move the engine forward and get a more equilibrated centre of gravity. f1-barcelona-february-testing-2016-daniil-kvyat-red-bull-racing-rb12.jpg

With even a small advantadge in horsepower is possible get a bit more downforce, obviusly also more drag and still accelerating a couple seconds quicker, always if the rear suspension can take it the torque without spinning it's tyres.

I just don't want to see that damn white!!! Black is fine for front and rear wings, as it used to be in 80's and 90's!
