Did Seb made a mistake in that lap or is this the true speed of the car?

    BTW, happy 900 race!

    What the heck happened.

Did we turned something down on Vettel's car as a precaution to Kimi's failure?

Must of got held up or made mistake. As we are not that far off. As long as we get clean start, clean couple first laps, we then can attack and see how the race unfolds.

Mercedes power......I'm not even sure if we can challenge them next year with such a big gap

What happened to Vettel, such a biased coverage by these English commentators. Total Crap.

We are fast in S1. It was the sector 2 where Vettel (and Kimi as well, till the engine gave up) lost the quali. We were one of the slowest cars in sector 2 out of all. And that sector is made out of corners...

Perhaps Merc's PU advantage allows them to go for higher downforce setup while we have to go for a lower downforce setup.

While there is a PU disadvantage, there is a bigger deficit in the chassis. Red Bull are ahead despite their engine handicap. It's days like this which will prevent Ferrari having a decent shot at the championship.

The weather, use of tyres and fast start. There doesn't seem to be enough downforce generated by this car. Every time we have to take off wing, it does not end well.

Was Ferrari car better than Red Bull or Mercedes in Hungary? I don't think so. Their drivers were just nowhere after the start, not that they were off pace compared to Ferrari.
Seb said that he didn't make a mistake. So, that is probably what the car is capable of. It might be faster in the race as usual. Or not faster enough.... Who knows, we'll see.

VETTEL: "It was a normal lap... I'm surprised it was only good enough for 9th. We just couldn't make the step"

Vettel'll start the race alongside Maldonado and Grosjean! There's still hope though as Ricciardo might just go backwards as usual. But you never know with the new starts. I hope it's not dangerous tomorrow.

Worst Spa GP for decades incoming..

Mercs will vanish as the other cars will hold us up, no challenge at the front at all. Thank god it's 44 laps and not 74.
Mercs won't even race each other which compounds the problem. zzzzzZZ

You realize that's because number of laps pretty much depends on the circuit length.
Races are shorter on high speed circuits though...

I'm surprised by the last lap and even more by the answer given by Vettel. How is it possible to say that was a normal lap when the lap made in Q2 was better ! And we all know that the drivers save their tyres in this session !

I was expecting 1'48"1-3, which is the normal gap between Merc and us in qualy and an correct time evolution between Q2 and Q3
