WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT THE APP! I had the app in 2012 and I don't care about the gps tracking and other stuff. What I want is simple LT like it's in every other series. We had it, and it had been taken from us saying: "You want to have the same experience you had in past years, give us you money". Well I say **** you and honestly everyone should.

Just did a lap with Vettel on the US broadcast NBC-SN, I have to say the driver input still looked pretty smooth on a +2.7xx lap time

Alonso down to 1:31.840 top of the chart

Its available for both apple and android

On PC, unfortunately it's not available. We only have access to the crippled version

It's been free for a long time means that there's no cost to developing it now. A cost that, mind you, in the past has been paid for itself by the sport's revenue
That doesn't mean they can't change how they do things in the future. It's up to the users tell them that this is not acceptable, if no one buys their premium version maybe they will rethink what they are doing, don't you think?

They ruin the experience for many just because of their greed, thats a fact.

I already asked you, if FIA forces you to pay money in order you can hear sounds of the engines would say its ok since its their product ?
You have every right to pay for whatever you feel like but trying to justify this is simply wrong.
no i would not pay extra to get car sounds, happy? If you think they would add that change u'r delusional tho.

I'm glad you say no if you feel it's not right but it's not me you need convincing it's FIA/FOM or whoever is in charge of these decisions.

And untill then, our F1 experience will be seriously crippled. Or we can open our wallets and became a sheeps they want us to be. Win win situation...

I guess if FIA starts showing porn during races it will be OK since its their product and they can do whatever and show whatever.
besides, we get F1 and porn in 1 package, whats so bad about it right ?

MRRabbit, honestly, just take the basic understanding and apply some logic into this move and you can pretty much wrong since the idea was created, they are not stupid to wait people to tell them . They are doing this simply to get money due to their greed, they are not providing ADDITIONAL stuff to the Live Timing and then asking feedback, there is a huge difference in these two.

Doubt they will care about app sales, as the main thing here is still the racing, that's what FOM is all about.

The app is part of F1 merchandise, I don't have a problem with that. What I have a problem with is them making live timing as part of that premium app. I won't mind if they make commentary exclusive, but live timing is an essential part of the race, not a merchandise

I would tell you you're delusional if you told me that they will want money for something that was free for decade or more and every other big series has it for free as well. And look.

Watching on NBCSN and I'm very disappointed with the new Formula One product. The cars look ugly, slow and very "low tech" in comparison to the past seasons. Fans are the big losers now. FIA has lost their way.

Ihippie gadgets... hey wait, that's ME

On the official website it is all dots for sector times, looks like we'll still get the color coding as there are a couple of green dots in a sea of yellow dots, very disappointed in money grubbing Formula1Ū, IIRC they cut off access to some of the independent apps 2 or 3 years ago.
It's all about the money for Bernie, don't be looking for any show of generosity from him!

We are. With all that happened this season (engines, LT, weird rules), it is not an F1 I was looking forward to.

crying on a forum about it won't get you anywhere tho, tell them how you feel, if as you say everyone feels the same way they should be getting alot of complaints and maybe they'll reconsider reverting the change.

I already did... and I hope people who are not ok with that will do as well and there are some as I can see here on forum.

Wow have I stumbled onto the "F1 app support group" thread...

Solid start for us today, McLaren and Williams look good also. Red Bull and Mercedes I think will be up there come Saturday as well. Very excited for the weekend now!

The commentators just pointed out the fact that crew members must wear thick rubber gloves to prevent accidental electrocution from all the stored energy in the car. Why would FIA push for these ridiculous rules? We fans want to see racing. Let's get back to engineering speed. This is not the World Energy Conservation Championship.

    Came across this article http://www.crash.net/f1/feature/2011...o-housing.html

With the first practice session result (Alonso ends up fastest on 1m 31.840s), it seems that WE indeed held something back during the Pre Season testing. I pray that Ferrari will have a very competitive and winning car from the onset onwards. May this prayer be answered.

Only 17 of 22 have set a time & it's not for a lack of trying

I did read that Charlie Whiting said they'd most likely waive the 107% for qualifying as it was only to discourage teams not trying to even be competitive .

Well SF at the top of the times is a good sign (shields up)
