Took a half day from work to watch FP1 today and it's delayed because of fog!

Fog? It's Texas.... Have some locals shoot at it and it will quickly dissipate.

Seriously tho, anyone got a link to streaming vid?

Ah, so apparently this year's Austin time has been changed to start later. Now it's a record 3am race for me, lol. Last year Brazil was 2am.

Why did they make the race later this year anyway?

Good to see they planted some grass.

Last year it was a sand box. My Ferrari Puma's are still covered in dust lol

Sorry I missed FP until now, but what is the reason for the red flag?

Waiting for a Helicopter to land the first helicopter broke so they are waiting for the new one, the session will have 15 mins extra according to Ross Brawn.

Not green light yet. The clock is started because that's the time they have until the session must end regardless what happens.

Not to be negative but FP1 says nothing especially because of the red flag, but I really hope we can continue on the next sessions and race ofcourse

I saw Luca Marmorini in the Ferrari garage. Also, both drivers went out as soon as possible, which tells me there was some important testing being done on the engine side. A new engine map, perhaps? Or, maybe it was some KERS development?

I don't think anything special is possible/allow to work on engine since all development is frozen by current rules!

KERS, perhaps? After all, RBR are using KERS harvesting as traction-control out of slow corners, and it would be some piece of tech to put into the new V6. Maybe it could bring benefits to the remaining two races.

Something like that is possible. I hope Ferrari is exploring all gray zones of rules!

Anthony Davidson mentioned the Ferrari F138 has got the best balance he's ever seen this season, I wonder what the setup changes were?
