It looks like our race pace is 1.5 sec off red bulls... Slower than bulls, mers and lotus...

Ouch that would be really painful coming race day! Normally we are not so good on a single lap but our race pace almost Always look good but if this is true that would be bad

Yes sure it is the car that is designed to go well on all types of tracks, even on high speed tracks (Monza and Spa) where they were not very strong in the past they won easily this season.

This is... scrap this year's car now. But I don't get how can we be competitive next year, when we are totally lost with the development of this one. Doom and gloom indeed, some serious waking up must happen at our factory. This just stinks.

There is no such thing as hiding or sandbagging. That is just a lame excuse for Ferrari car not performing good enough!

Correct me if I am wrong, didn't Mr. SD said before this race that others are for a big surprise about Ferrari pace?! On the other hand, YES Ferrari is a BIG surprise this weekend regarding pace!

This is not good, not good at all. RB are one whole sec faster than others, behind them Mercs and after that we and Lotus tied. Felipe was really struggling. P5 will be maximum on a track where you pretty much need to be infront to win the race (barring safety cars).

I don't think he's thinking anything at the moment. This year's form doesn't have anything to do with next year's form, everybody knows that. I'm sure he's feeling confident about coming to Ferrari, with Allison and Byrne working on next year's car there's absolutely no reason to be pessimistic.

Little bird told me that he was hoping to nick a couple of pieces from the Red Bull garage during his famous visit yesterday, but his plan failed.

There is every reason to be pessimistic for next year. I do think that we can get a good baseline car out of the box but we struggle to improve in the development phases. We have a good chance only if our car is significantly faster than the rest of the competition. All this talk about a big upgrade for Singapore was just talk. We're struggling to understand our own car. If we're not careful we may end up being the 5th fastest team with McLaren overtaking us in terms of pure performance. It must be said that you need to try hard to go from fastest to 5th fastest over the course of a year.

Got to watch FFP sessions later, but looking on where i want to kill myself. Same old same every race weekend. Before we start jumping the gun saying looks bad, Ferrari YET again failed to deliver good car, wait till Sunday night. We got our own programmes to run through. What the other teams do is upto them.

Yeah i love to see us on top ALL the time, but isnt the way. We got look at our own cars and get good set up for race.

Well, that's your prerogative to be as pessimistic as you want. I'm definitely NOT.

We should maybe try to keep with the title of the thread and focus our doom and gloom efforts on what is happening at Singapore.

Is this a quote from this race, or every other race this season?

Embarrassing....I feel for Fernando and Felipe, they can't work miracles, but it is only day 1 and we usually claw something back. Can't help thinking that Pirelli have a lot to answer for, but they can't be blamed for our lack of rear-end grip. God help us!
