Hahaha, don't think Stefano would dare come up here at this time!

Well, what else can one think, except that things will get better tomorrow!? I remembered how sad I was after Valencia qualy, and the euphoria after the race. So maybe it will come again...one can hope!

All the Best to Our Boys tomorrow!

Well I was hoping at worst 7th or8th,now it's a real uphill task, let's hope it's a minimum damage limitation, well the next 2 upcoming qualifying don't look promising at all,I suggest to fans that can't take it anymore, don't watch the qualifying for the coming races, and save your energy!! All I mean,we should get used to these qualifying sessions,at best 3rd row!

I been cheering Ferrari on ever since I saw my first F1 back in 1975! This year is going from bad to worst!! The guy Ferrari gets rid of two years, Aldo Costa goes to Mercedes Benz and they are now on the up big time! Meanwhile, Ferrari's new technical group produces a car that gets beaten in Q3 by Force India and Toro Rosso? Not acceptable!

We started the year so well.......................

Despite some wins and stuff, deep down we know that the team has been a mess since 2009, maybe it's time to change some things. I hope Fernando can climb to P5 tomorrow but Vettel probably will win.

Fernando Alonso has voiced his concern with Ferrari's sudden slide in form and called for an "immediate" improvement after the title-chasing team slumped to their worst qualifying session of the season at the British GP.

Although single-lap pace has been Ferrari's nemesis for several years, despite sustained attempts by Maranello to improve their Saturday form, qualifying day at Silverstone marked a surprising new low of 2013 as Alonso qualified only tenth and Felipe Massa missed out on Q3 altogether in 12th.

Alonso's result, his worst since last September's Italian GP when his F2012 broke, means he will start seven places behind title rival Sebastian Vettel on Sunday and with the likely prospect of his already large 36-point deficit to the German growing to the equivalent of two race victories or more.

Speaking to reporters after the depressing session, Alonso didn't attempt to hide the disappointing nature of Ferrari's form and conceded some of their recent upgrade parts had clearly not been working as intended.

    Silverstone Qualifying Highlights
    .

However, given the gap to the pole-sitting Mercedes was a massive 1.3s, the Spaniard suspected that other factors were also at play.

"Obviously we are not happy and we are disappointed with today's performance," Alonso admitted.

"We are not delivering what we are supposed to deliver every weekend. All the new parts that are coming [to the car], maybe they are not as expected. Some of them are possibly not working so we are losing a little bit of pace compared to the top teams.

"But it's hard to imagine we lose so much compared to them. If we were two or three tenths slower than the fastest car two months ago, now it's difficult to believe we are now more than one second. So it's something more than that.

"We are not developing the car good enough, this is true, but also maybe here in this track we don't find the right set-up, the right moment to make the tyres working perfectly.

"What the problem is we need to investigate because we must improve."

Even before Saturday, Alonso hadn't started inside the first two rows of the grid since the Bahrain GP in late April and the Spaniard conceded that it was worrying that the team's qualifying performances were clearly tailing off.

"The dangerous moment is the way that we seem to perform worse and worse. I remember at the beginning of the year both Ferraris were on top, we were on the first two rows normally in the first three or four races. I remember even Malaysia Felipe even started on the first row of the grid," he recalled.

"Now here we start getting in the positions that are familiar unfortunately - that is fighting for Q3, as we were last year. Felipe this time is out of Q3, we are tenth, so we need to come back to the form we had at the beginning of the year immediately otherwise we'll lose too much ground."

However, three weeks on from turning sixth on the grid into second place at the chequered flag in Canada, Alonso pointed out that such Sunday salvage operations were an occupational hazard for him.

"In terms of recovery positions, it's nothing new - I've been doing this from 2008," he said.

"It's the fifth or sixth year that I start five or six positions behind the leader of the championship and I fight for the World Championship until the last race. I think this year will not be too different."

Naw, come on. this Ferrari is still the same team who have won many great championship among some tough times.

Ferrari have been in difficult times in the past, and under leadership such as Luca DM, the team is not afraid to do what it takes to climb back up to the top. We've seen how Ferrari was willing to pay Schumi whatever he was asking just to get him into the team, and then bring in all the people Schumi wants, including Rory Bryne out of retirement. This is also the same team who was willing to pay Kimi just to have him quit earlier in order to make way for Alonso.

If Luca DM feels the current people running the team is not up to the task, he will not be afraid to make changes in the future. We don't have to agree with the people running the team currently, but just remember that they are not everything Ferrari is. Stefano D is working for Ferrari, but Stefano is not Ferrari. I'm sure if Ferrari continue to struggle, Luca will not be keeping Stefano around for long. But that's up to Luca, he knows better.

What a nightmare to watch our slide down the grid, the car looked wayward, unbalanced and a real struggle to control, and you can't just blame Felipe for his performance when Fernando was obviously having equal grief. Can't believe this is happening and something has gone seriously wrong since even three weeks ago. Is it tyre compunds, aero at Silverstone, or new parts making things worse? Painful to see and we'll be lucky to even achieve damage limitation at this rate. My support will never die, though, from 1967 until now I've lived with the joy and the pain, and the surprises.........

Question is: before or after year 2020?

I'm that down that I would say: let Fernando go, keep Felipe who has an eye ona young driver, fire 50% of heads of development at home in Maranello (incl. Stefano and Pat) save money and start again with new fresh people with fresh ideas and be back in 4 or 5 years.

Unfortunately no one of the responsible men have the courage to go by their own. New kind of people would have the chance that it might get better as the people available do obviously something wrong as it is the same since years.

And somehow the only man who had been fired by Stefano is now responsible for the actual Merc.
Good and young people as James Key are somewhere else

In Austria we have a old saw: the fish starts stinking at the head ...

It is a miracle for me how an organization like Ferrari (with so many resources in terms of manpower or environment) isn't able to keep position over the year and builds crap.
I can only hope that streets car are doing better ...

Hoping for a better car performance, a bit of luck and a hot weather tomorrow. It was a frustrating day today, but I'm sure things will be much better tomorrow. If "damage limitation" is the name of the game for us, then so be it, at least I hope we'll succeed at it as long as we get things sorted out on the car. Nothing is over!

    Forza Ferrari per sempre!!!

more embarrassing than watching the starting grid?
If this emotions after an embarrassing to get banned than there is obviously something wrong here!

I always though emotions are part of Ferrari: in good or in bad ...
But maybe a sign of your disappointment about the team to blame it on us if we show our emotions after hearing this week: that this circuit should fit so well to our car ... after 3 week of development for none ...

It's amusing how people call the car crap/discrase/failure. IT's FREAKING 2nd in BOTH CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!
Get to grips with reality or start using other words to describe it. It's as if points from this weekend's GP only, will be counted and determine who takes what place in both championships.

The only ones who should get banned are the Ferrari technical team. They have been letting down the fans for the last 5 years.
