How did you ever survive the '80's?

You are absolutely right Frank, you are voicing what many, if not all, of us feel. The truth hurts, but when things go from bad to worse in 5 consecutive years, something has to be done by someone who is in charge and that is LdM.
I already hear this year's Domenicalli&co explanation: THE TIRES, they are to blame, Pirelli is the reason for Ferrari's plight. Last year was the windtunnel.
Tires are the same for all teams, Stefano. You have to design the car around the tires, not Pirelli designing tires for each team. And do not blame Pirelli for bringing tires suiting RB and Merc because Force india is OK with any tire and we are not.
Just forget the "2013 tire problem" excuse and get down to work and develop a prime car or just get out!

Re: 2013 British GP: Friday & Saturday Free Practice Thread

There are some ridiculous overreactions here.

None of us are, or should be happy with the performance today. It was not even remotely good enough but at times people need to gain a little perspective.

We finished second in the last race and sit second in both Championships. Alonso may perhaps be right with Seb without the unfortunate issues, but that's the way it goes.

Calling the engineers monkeys is down right insulting, when with all respect, I don't envisage anybody on here having the feigntest idea on how to design an F1 car. Responding by saying "send your cv to Luca" just further antagonises the situation.

Posters shouldn't be put down for criticising the team. It doesn't male them any less of a fan. The divide between people over supporting Massa/Alonso needs to stop as it ruins any decent discussion.

Personally I think the problem is lots of members here don't know what they can and cant complain about. I have to admit I have blown off steam here and got rightly called out for it. But then others do the same thing and its all ok. You can complain about some past drivers but not others. And to be frank the worst offenders are the moderators here.

When we see a Top Team like Ferrari "Caught Out" by the cool weather and not responding with geometry setting applied to the race car to adjust to the track conditions, something with the team is DRASTICLY WRONG!!!!!!!!! This is the Ferrari Team not one of the bottom of the grid teams! Adjustability of the Race Car must be something EVERY team must know how to apply to the track conditions they encounter. Certainly Red Bull and the Mercedes teams know how to do this but Ferrari does not??? Something very wrong with that!!!! The Ferrari Race cars are very slow again and have no grip! With all of the "Work" they claim to be doing, we see very little results on the race track. As for Massa, they should put Kobayashi in Massa's car immediately and stop all the Wishy-Washy sentiment. The Ferrari Team comes first and the driver is just the pilot. He is continuing to perform very poorly!

Quali thread got locked - it wasn't up to temp!!!!!! Ditto frank's comment on being unable to adapt - heck even little bull is quicker ? As for Massa, that ship has sunk. Moving along - its damage limitation today - and I'm sure they will do the best they can - again. 2012 - wind tunnel 2013 - tyres and temp. 2014 - new regulations is a good option.

For God's sake give Massa a break, he's only two places back from Alonso on the grid, so the car is a dog here and not helped by Pirelli's tyre choices for this race. All we must do is pray for a decent points haul, the rest is in the lap of the Gods.

If you have an issue with anything the mods say or do, you do know you can PM one or all of us with your concerns, right?

Granted, the F2008 was a hell of a car and a 'bad' weekend probably still meant top 5 if not the lower steps of the podium, but it's all relative.

It's just very sad to see people kicking off - sack this person, sack that person, sack everyone. Complaining that Alonso's wasting his best years at our team. Do you not realise that comments like that are not particularly nice to read for the people who have been supporting Ferrari long before Alonso arrived? I don't like this perception that Ferrari somehow 'owe' him something because he has graced the team with his presence. Maybe he expected better cars over the time he has been with Ferrari but as I recall he didn't have a whole load of options as to where to go after two years dragging those Renaults around, post-McLaren disaster.

Added to which, if your memory is short enough to forget that practically every. single. race. weekend we have a MUCH better day on Sunday than Saturday I'm afraid you have bigger things to concern yourself with than the performance of a Formula One team.
+10000000 Great comment Suzie! I absolutely agree with everything you said here.
    KEEP CALM AND LOVE FERRARI

The purpose of this forum is to support the team and both of its drivers. Members that senselessly bash the team over and over again don't add much to the community that Greig has built over the last 15 years, we don't need a toxic environment here. There are plenty of other forums for that...

If you make a rational comment, there is no need to worry about what you are saying, but if it's the same toxic statement over and over again, it starts to become old. Everyone is fed up with Red Bull winning with ease over the last 3+ years, but McLaren, Mercedes and Lotus also haven't been able to mount a proper challenge against them either, it can be a slow process to reclaim a championship. Look at how badly McLaren messed up this season, it happens, people need to relax.

There is no need to worry about speaking your mind on this forum, simply remember that this site's purpose is to support the team and its drivers.
