So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

What is very positive is that Ferrari are now at a point where they are concentrating on rece distances and race setups and have reduced the amount of time spent on parts. Ferrari now have to pick the parts to use and get the car ready for racing! Testing has gone well from the reliability stand point and that is excellent. Good to see Red Bull having some problems with their car to rob them of vital track time! I think in the end most teams will be close but on the potential curve Ferrari's innovative design could prove the advantage in the season. Development of the F2012 must be rapid for the Ferrari Team get to the front of the pack!

    Ciao.

    Forza Ferrari!!!!

I would agree, as I said, it was a very tongue and cheek interview from Fernando

I'm glad Ferrari improved on tyre degradation from Tuesday. Very consistent lap times from Fernando with a 0.5s drop-off. We had 2.0s drop-off on Tuesday!

    * Loads of you hope and believe Lotus is extremely fast

    * Most of you think Red Bull and McLaren are way quicker than they have tended to look

    * Many of you hope Ferrari's quick times have been 'real'

    * A lot of you are optimistic about Williams's better times from testing
So if we do quick times they are unreal and fake and if we do slow times they are representative and real

What the hell is wrong with Autosport? Are they drunk or high?
15:31 Of those on track now, only Schumacher is lapping below 1m30s. The German has soft tyres on his Mercedes again, so is unlikely to be out for much more than 10 laps.

    Alonso:
    103 1:27.418
    104 1:27.337 -0.081
    105 1:27.881 +0.544
    106 1:27.527 -0.354

so if these are the times WE did last year in BARCA in qualifying:

    Q3

    Mark Webber RBR-Renault 1:20.981
    Sebastian Vettel RBR-Renault 1:21.181
    Lewis Hamilton McLaren-Mercedes 1:21.961
    Fernando Alonso Ferrari 1:21.964

that means our lap time today is only about ONE second slower then the flying lap Alonso did in Q3 last year in BCN??
and also who knows HOW much fuel Alonso had when he posted that lap today.

any thoughts?? waht do you guys think??
So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

Gary anderson sobre la simulación de carrera de Kimi. Pinta bien: "Kimi Raikkonen has been out doing a race simulation run, and if you compute his lap times on that back to his fastest lap this morning, it looks like he had a maximum of 20kg of fuel in to do that 1:22.0. His race run has been pretty consistent. He ran soft tyres and then medium, while Lewis Hamilton out at the same time in the McLaren ran soft-soft. Hamilton was a little quicker but had more drop-off - Raikkonen lost 1.3secs over a stint, while Hamilton lost 2secs and 2.4secs. The Lotus looks like it's doing a decent job, the car looks balanced and Raikkonen has always been good at banging in the lap times."

that means our lap time today is NOT that much slower then the flying lap Alonso did in Q3 last year in BCN

Well, its a little mysteriou because there are teams who have been already quicker than in last years qualifying, maybe the conditions like wind as example make difference.

At the moment I'm not too worried about Ferrari's raw pace, I think we are right up there with McLaren and RB. What I'm worried about is Fry's comment about the very small performance window and reports about our tires losing its pace too quickly.

This is one of the consistent thing we've been hearing about Ferrari since the first testing week so there's probably some truth in it. And if its true, it could potentially affect our race performance.

Autosport getting the Ferrari digs in before end of final testing, lucky I only use them for their timings, coz their commentary is shocking
