    In both articles it was about "rumours", cannot find exactly links.

    13:37 Alonso's first five laps on medium tyres have been remarkable consistent, all in the 1m29.7s/1m29.8s bracket.

    Honestly though I feel sorry for these guys at HRT and Marussia. Hope they make the grid for Melbourne.

    Guys, everybody is so negative about ferrari chances. Here is my view on what's is happening:
    1: Ferrari is hyping things up and intentionally getting massa and FA to fluctuates the time of lap just to confuse everybody. This ties up with constantly changing and evaluating different config of exhaust, FW etc... Also the withdrawal of the drivers from press conf for this afternoon is part of the plan. Now how does this work... Every idiot like the Mcl, Merc, RB & co including the media are looking at the data of ferrari lap time and making what they would call educated/calculated assumptions/guess... All this stunt from ferrari is to distract everyone from what they are doing hence nobody will copy anything from their. Who would want to copy a car that according to all idiots bashing about us RED is slower than HRT... :). Here is where we are the winner, nobody copies us, we mess them up by providing them with all sort of info and then we slowly but surely fine tune and upgrade our car before melbourne and beat the heck of of the supposedly fast car. Who would look stupid then...
    2. we are really in trouble... but even if some of these rumours are true, i believe ferrari can sort this out before the season... Maybe 1st few races we might even get pole but not win the races or might get 3rd place. But i believe the data we will get from a proper race day and qualifying session would much more what we are getting now. as we will definitely know the limit of the car and its behaviours under race and qualifying condition!!!! This should give us a good baseline to eliminate the defects out of the car and optimize it to win races... If we do have a problem with the wind tunnel and from my own experience with testing in wind tunnel we are then doomed to have a bad season. If that was the case though we would probably have stopped using it and use the toyota one... whether ferrari want to do it or not is another matter???

    Those poor guys should be allowed their own test session, at least a couple of days.

    Agreed. It's a bit unfair how the cars have to pass the crash tests before the tests now.

    no way... how is that fair to the other teams ? it's not like they are here for the first time... look at Caterham started in the same year as HRT and Marussia(Virgin)..
    i bet that there where better teams for the positions but politics and money prevented that....

    @Brad-Ferrari

    is it ? and if they crash the car in tests and something bad happens...safety safety safety

    Because their budget and available resources are nowhere near what the larger teams have.

    sorry to say, no i dont at all. They have had plenty long enough to get car ready and ready for the crash tests. Virgin, sorry Marussia stopped developement for their 2011 car after Silverstone last year. Thats long time to get that car in shape and ready the the tests. I think no testing no race. It be dangerous for rest of grid come FP1 and quali with these teams going slow doing their testing when we all setting up for race and doing quali runs. Not good enough in my view.

    HRT has debuted both their 2010 and 2011 car during practice at the first race.

    i know, but shouldnt be allowed. They be testing and getting the the way while everyone else for for racing and doing set up work for the race and quali. Feel sorry for the HRT team, as there is some wasted talent there. Marussia have got technical backing from Macca, there is no excuse there at all. They have had plenty time to get that car through the tests and ready for testing this winter.
