    The tests are really hard to get a picture where we are, are we very competitive? Are we behind merc? Are we struggling? It's hard!

    09:34 Or maybe he's cruising because he's reading the Jobs section of the newspaper?

    09:33 Massa now slows down again and goes over the line doing a constant speed test.

    @Hornet
    he also said that there are no major performance differences between experimental and conventional exhaust systems so it's not a big deal :). Ofc there is a slight gain or else they wouldn't waste time on exhausts at all, still you can't do much with a car due to FIA restrictions so teams are tweaking even those meaningless parts. My point is that overall package matters, not separate systems, like exhaust system about which everyone is talking atm. IMO we have strong overall package, maybe even better than RedBull, time will tell :)

    I think if we adapt the mclaren solution with the coanda effect on our outlet solution it would be very effective

    Again, can't be used the coanda effecto to redirect the gas through the car bodywork to the diffuser.

    09:51 Senna is on hards, and improves his time to 1m23.244s - this time without cutting a chicane as far as we can tell. If he did last time, who knows...

    Autosport says its super soft: "Massa pits after that single flying lap on super soft tyres".

    Massa hit 1:22 on hards. And then improved on super soft.

    I think there's more we can get out of the super soft, if the difference is similar to last year.

    Even Sauber on soft was faster in last test session (1:22.312).
    Hoping 1.22.4 is not an our maximum.

    I have no particular information, but just some points for what they worth:
    1. Red Bull seems very, very, very tight on the back.
    2. My concern is not just the pace, we have to wait until AUS Q3. What DOES concern me (and FA and Pat Fry and everyone in Ferrari) is the lack of consistency in the performance. Pat Fry said that yesterday, FA said the same thing after Jerez. So, I believe that they have a serious issue in their hands. If they solve that, and is not a fundamental design issue, then they will be up there, I believe.

    "Pirelli is happy with the performance differential between its compounds - which it estimates being between 0.4-0.5 seconds"

    If Massa did a 1:22.895 on hards then he should be about 0.8 - 1sec faster with the supersofts.

    It's clear he is not trying the show its maximum potential.Soft tyres may effect 0.8s at least.I think it is about finding the right set up maybe still have some configurations and car slows down on the straight.

    Martin brundle said yesterday that they are not so glued to the track like last year and dont seem to be dominant
