Lol
yeah I noticed at the first test in Jerez, then it was commented that they had some chamber that collected the gasses, like we had last year (but we used it for as a resonance chamber it seems) but now it has come to light that Renault and Mercedes are actually "cheating" ... let's hope FIA has a strong foot this time..

If you are confirmed German press reports today, that before the season starts we are preparing a small revolution. Three days ago I mentioned to you that Renault and Red Bull worked very hard over the appropriate mapping for the engine to compensate for losses caused by non-blowing in the diffuser. Once the information has reached us, is undoubtedly also be given authority of the FIA.
The first signals that reach from the federation can be very disturbing for the teams that use Renault engines, but not only. According to the experts working for the FIA engine software used by the engines Renault and Mercedes in breach of applicable laws. Although the exhaust pipes are not addressed in the diffuser, it still throws gas engine when the driver pull off the accelerator.
Soon, interested teams should get the records detailing the technical directive regulations in this regard. In early March, it should also hold a meeting of representatives of the teams with the authorities of the FIA, in which the problem will also be moved. If a team fails to comply with the recommendations, the FIA provides that it does not allow them to race at the start of the season in Australia.
I stress again that if the information provided by German journalists are true (and I have no reason to believe that they are not), then the team mentioned above will be placed in a very difficult situation. The teams have spent a lot of time to design a new exhaust system and any change in the way the engine can have a huge impact on the balance of the whole structure. Only Ferrari can feel secure, which may soon be the cause of many conspiracy theories, but so far we do not reopen this issue.
If they manage to get away once more with this engine mapping thing by fooling the FIA with absurd excuses, I'm afraid to say it but a lot of people will stop watching the sport and it would probably include myself. I've had more than enough of seeing F1 being a business game leading to artificial racing and so on... the rant could be very long indeed.
Hope the FIA get their act together this year, they are obliged to do so!!!
"I cannot judge what he did in his time at Renault and McLaren but I have worked with World Champions Schumacher, Villeneuve and Raikkonen and Fernando is the one who impresses me the most," said Gene.
I'm seeing a drama coming up soon. Ferrari has been the only ones that actually followed the rules, while others went cheating. If this gets actually legalised, it's gonna be yet again a season screwed up for us by the FIA. I don't see then why Ferrari should keep trying to make a good car. It would probably turn out better to just wait till the season starts, see how McLaren and RedBull cry the rules in their favor, and only then build our new Ferrari, so atleast we could see more then one win in the second part of the season...
The sport is getting worser and worser by every year and it looks like it's not stopping...
Man i will kill charly if he allows them to use it.
Why did they bann it if they will allow it again, they banned the blown diffuser more because of the engine mapping than because of the exhaust position.
If they legalise an illegal thing for them again maybe they will come next year with 1000 HP engine and make it legal.
Common guys, stop with the crying and the drama ... i won't be the end of the world if we don't win this year, or next year or the year after, we will win went we manage to do a better job than the others, until then it's better to work more and cry less.
Just not to deviate from the subject line of the thread.
Afternoon session has now started.
We want 50 solid laps from Massa now! - come on!
