Alonso lowers the benchmark with first a 1m24.706s, then a 1m24.698s.
Alonso Ferrari 1m24.644s
RB is scheduled for some qualifying runs this morning and then some racing simulation in the afternoon, so people pay attention to those times from Finger Boy...
joseluisf1:
"Ferrari is already using the setup that Massa has tested in the Simulator last week, at the moment with good results"
"Also there are new parts in the cooling system that should solve cooling problems"
"Throughout the day, if the reliability does not fail, Ferrari could be testing some new aerodynamic parts"

Alonso 1m23.640s +0.584 from Vettel
Murray - "...and there are flames coming from the back of Prost's car as he enters the swimming pool!"
James - "Well, that should put them out then"
@InsideFerrari: After two hours of track time, Fernando has completed 17 laps, the quickest in 1.23.640. Today's programme is still aimed to acquire data.

"10:48 Vettel ist leider wieder direkt in die Box abgebogen. Dafür hat Alonso Gas gegeben. 1:23.640 Min. - allerdings auf weichen Reifen. Noch einmal zur Erinnerung. Vettel ist seine Bestzeit auf harten Gummis gefahren. "
"10:48 Vettel is unfortunately deflected directly into the box. Alonso has been for gas. 1:23.640 minutes - but on the soft tires. Just to remind you. Vettel is his personal best down to hard rubber."

Today:
AMuS might have changed for the worse but they are not automatically wrong all the time. I thought Ferrari team said they were not going for times still? In other words, they aren't ready yet to go for times- if they are quick, they are not going to show it yet and if they are not, they're not going to show it either.
times are not the main concern right now. All of data still to collect. Understanding the car and different set ups is alot more important than going for the fast times. Once understand and happy with the data and car, then go all out and get the fast times.
CAVALLINO RAMPANTE PER SEMPRE
Scuderia Ferrari @InsideFerrari
Again we're workin on different exhaust layouts: interesting job but a bit time consuming...
CAVALLINO RAMPANTE PER SEMPRE
11:07 Perez goes quicker again, and ends up just 0.006 seconds off Vettel's best
Perez already quicker than he was in the qualifying at the same track last year.
He did 1:23.367 in last years quali, and now he did 1:23.062. Both laps on soft.
Thats means he is 3 tenth quicker than last year.
Thats interesting.
Which tyres was he on?
1m22.608s by hulkenberg
thats fast.
Red Bull have hydraulic issues.
but it was on super-soft.
New Ferrari exhaust:
Force india is much quicker than last year too.
In last years quali Paul di resta was the quickest of the Force india and his time was 1:24.332 on soft.
This year he managed 1:23.141.
That means they are definitely qucker than last year.
Now perez with 1:22.648 on super-soft.
