I think we are seeing the "Aero Model" on the current F1 rules emerging as teams find out what works and what is less effective. If McLaren changes the nose on there race car then there will be some validation to the duck bill shape that is the normal for this year's race cars. We are also seeing more neutral exhaust exit designs to feed the rear diffuser, which several teams are on pretty equal application of this concept. Ferrari are certainly NOT following the pack this year and they have much more variation in their design concepts and their development evolution process. It is a very interesting year of designs and development. I look for a big step by Ferrari in Spain and they should be much closer to the front. I say They should be in the top 4 or 5 in qualifying position and should run closer to the front in the race! I look for Red Bull, Lotus (Renault), Ferrari, McLaren & Mercedes all running close, with Sauber & Williams running close as well!
