[rant]i still think bbc is the best place to watch F1 in europe, but these last few weekends they really are sinking fast. no such thing as unbiased reporting left, all they can talk about is red bull, Mclaren and the Hamster...oh and germany when they mention ferrari.
    [/rant]

i really hope we get a ferrari front row on sunday, followed by a blood red ferrari 1-2. dont care about the order, allthough it would be nice to see Felipe win the race at home. i think it would be a great boost for him.
i know it's only friday but . . . come on boys, show them all what champions are made off this weekend

i think Massa is coming along pretty good
don't think Alonso wants to show what he's really got YET...
So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

I know its early days but you get the impression watching the Ferrari's that they aren't quite giving it everything yet.

They aren't. They never do until the last 5 minutes of FP2. But we never really show our true pace until Qualifying. In the situation we're in with engines, maybe they will leave them turned down for even longer.

BBC Sport's Andrew Benson in Sao Paulo: "With regard to Nico Hulkenberg's future at Williams (see 1605), that situation has taken an intriguing twist here in Brazil. It had been thought that Hulkenberg could lose his drive because the team may need to take a pay-driver in 2011 - with Venezuelan Pastor Maldonado, the GP2 champion - the hot tip. And that is still what could happen. But the latest rumour is that, actually, veteran Rubens Barrichello's position could be under threat."

Nowhere yet, but we never do. Wait for the last 5 minutes or so of this session. Still, I doubt we will see our true pace until Qualifying. Just as usual really.

Former F1 world champion Sir Jackie Stewart on our Red Button coverage: "I think it has been the most exciting since championship since the late 1960s. In those days we had eight drivers going into the championship with the potential of winning it. This season we've got five challengers with two races to go and that's great because it has been such a long season. I think Fernando Alonso is the best equipped to win the championship. But I don't think the world would be as excited if he won it as if Mark Webber did."

Just look at the last sector. We are loosing 4 tenths there. It means, that we are super soft to the engines. Just wait for quali guys :)

To bea them on Sunday, it helps to be faster on Saturday.

What is the car's trap speed? If we are a lot of MPH off then it will be clear the engines are turned down on the Revs

Pit-lane reporter Holly Samos:"At the last race there were quite a few rumours of management changes at Mercedes and they are continuing here. The engineer that Nico Rosberg worked with at Williams has been linked with a move to the team along with Renault's Mark Slade. These are interesting moves to make Mercedes competitive right at the front of the pack next season rather than the fourth place they will pick up this year."

BBC Radio 5 live F1 analyst Anthony Davidson on Interlagos: "It's a real street-fighter circuit. The car never does what you want it to do. It's a track that's punching on the tyres, you have to play it right with the them."

BBC Sport's Andrew Benson in Sao Paulo: "I was chatting to Mark Webber in the break between practice sessions, and he was saying that the drivers will have to do all their race set-up work in this afternoon's practice session because, as the Australian puts it, 'tomorrow's going to be wet' - and he put special emphasis on the last word. Definitely? I asked. 'Yep.'"

We aren't in the top 6 in the speed trap. I'm certain the engines are turned down.

Massa has parked on track, where Alonso did earlier.

    Just coasting. Oh Dear.
