I would prefer P1 straight out of the pits, though. That is more frightening for the others

    alonso's on track now
So 2023 started off bad, but managed to claw back some lap time come end of the year. Lets hope SF24 will give us tifosi something to smile about.

Of course- the moment they show Fernando in onboard driving german tv switches to ads. They are so predictable.

I love this on the BBC live text commentary...

"We are getting shots of some very cool F1 drivers preparing for the start of the second session. Most have got the aviators out. Top Gun o'clock. "

2nd quick lap ruined by Kobayashi, Alonso backed off at the start of the lap to make space.

Is it me or that lap we just saw in the opening part of FP2 by Alonso makes our car look like it is really on rails. That thing looked planted.

Alonso held up again in S3 on that quick lap. Two purple sectors, 4 tenths quicker than Lewis' current time.

am i right in saying that the Ferraris being very quick straight out of the box in its 1st few laps is a great sign?

BOOM! There we go, Alonso nearly 7 tenths clear now, didn't even do a PB in S1 and S2. There is another 3 tenths there. Going purple in S1 now.

Blimey, Alonso held up yet again. Purple in S1, held up in S2 and having to back off.

3 laps out of 4 so far he's been held up.

Nice traction. Too much traffic for Fernando though.

Well, it looks as though we have great improvements. RB and Maccas also, may be not so great. Looks like we are equal now...

Alonso set his quickest lap on the final lap of a 5 lap stint - Vettel did not.

Plus Alonso had a lot of traffic.

Massa has spun and is getting out of the car. Lost the car under acceleration and span.

    Session Red Flagged.

Smedley shaking his head! I doubt we'll get the car back before the end of the session. Sigh.
