The UK's first WDC in 1958 drove a Ferrari and has quite an interesting site devoted to him for those with an historical bent &
who care to go back that far. Ferrari didn't win the WCC that year tho. It's the 50th aniversary of his death (Iremember reading the newspaper account back then which shattered me!) which is to be comemorated this week and more info is available at:

The Farnham Flyer . A true Gentleman and worthy champion .
I've always loved this photo of him in the pits at Nurburgring . Looks to be having quite a time , judging by all the ladies present .
